  • Lovely digs and sweet people

"Echoing the previous reviews to say that this rental had everything we could have wanted and more for ourselves and our two kids, 5 and 7. Extremely comfortable, peaceful, and well-appointed, in a terrific spot within spitting distance of gorgeous coastline to explore, great meals and cute towns. The little beach, changing tides, rocks and sea creatures were endlessly fascinating for my city kids; my daughter liked to run around the yard shouting "I'm living the dream!" The whole area was very friendly, low-key, and accessible; it was easy to feel at home. Gordon and Sheila were so kind and welcoming, full of great tips for local spots. I would stay here again in an instant and hope we can. Many thanks!"

  • Great value for a family vacation.

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Anne's Cottage. "Sea View" is a bit deceiving but regardless it is located in a quiet area which was very pleasant for a spring stay The trees were blooming and the smell of lilacs was in the air. It is located across the street from the beach with houses and big beautiful trees blocking the view for the most part. The cottage is very convenient to restaurants and shops.. We found the cottage very clean and supplied with all you may need other than food for meals. The downstairs bedroom was geared towards children and one of the windows had no curtain. Would not think a couple would be comfortable there. The upstairs bedroom was very comfortable. Woke up to the beautiful Maine sunshine coming in the windows. The bathroom has a washer and dryer along with a tub/shower. We did have to hang a sheet over the window. LOL It is right beside the toilet and tub and when the lights are on at night it can offer quite a peep show. The neighbors are not close but we did see them out in their yards often. Easy fix and not a problem. I quess if I had a complaint it would be lack of comfortable seating in the living room. There is a nice love seat and only a wooden chair. A pretty chair but not one to relax in. Off the living room is a large deck. We very much enjoyed sitting out there enjoying nature. I would not recommend the cottage for 2 couples to stay but definitely for an affordable family trip to Maine. Since getting home I have suggested it to a few of my friends. There are not a lot of frills like you might expect from a VRBO rental but it is a true taste of Maine and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again."

  • Perfect spot near Lockport Harbor

"We loved our stay at the studio, this is our second time staying here. It is equipped with everything you might need, but really all you need is to sit on that porch and watch the lobster fishermen coming and going, and enjoying the beauty and relaxation that Rockport has to offer. We like that it is close to Camden and Rockland, but is not too busy of a town. We loved our morning walks around the town, and sitting on the porch star gazing at night. Looking forward to next year's visit already! Thanks Elena."

  • Fabulous Cottage in a great location

"My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and babymoon here, and enjoyed the cottage tremendously. The view from the back deck just makes you want to sit back and relax. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the lake due to the fact it was a bit cold that week. But would certainly return at a different time to this wonderful cottage to do so. The owners were right next door and greeted us when we arrived and answered any questions we had. Which was a great way to start our vacation. The kitchen was awesome and used daily, we even got a chance to boil up our own lobsters for dinner and had all the kitchen equipment needed. The cottage was near some great quaint towns that we explored and got a couple day trips in to Portland and our all time favorite Bar Harbor to see the Acadia National park. Some restaurants that we enjoyed were Red Eats, Moodys Diner, Hartstone Inn (for an amazing fancy meal), and Metcalf sub shop. All were great. Anyways I could keep going on how great this cottage and little city is but I'm sure you've gotten the point. Definitely check out this cottage for the price and location. We plan to return again. Thank your Daryll and Vicki for giving us the opportunity to enjoy your lovely cottage. The O'Conners"
