  • Peaceful Cabin 10 minutes from downtown Camden

"Loon Cabin is a peaceful cabin with a deck overlooking a beautiful pond. The property is rustic, quiet, and peaceful. The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and clean - the kitchen was well-stocked, it had all the appliances we needed, and had a wood stove and quick hot water. The shower was small but adequate for our needs. Although we were not there in swimming season, there was a kayak and canoe available, and the sandy bottom and clean water made the pond look like a good place to swim. The cabin is just minutes to biking and hiking trails, as well as skiing and snow shoeing. And it is a 10 minute car ride to all downtown Camden has to offer. We had a great stay!"

  • Great place to use as a base for your vacation

"Really enjoyed this house....the additions were very nicely done. Everything was clean and neat; plenty of towels and linens. Great having the washer and dryer available. We sat out on the patio each evening with coffee and adult beverages while someone grilled on the outdoor grill. We heard the loons every night. We liked this location because you can get to Route 1 north or south in about 10 minutes...from there you are traveling up and down the coast. It's 2.5 hours to Acadia National Park but well worth the trip....Bar Harbor was okay, very touristy. Living here in Virginia Beach I thought we had the most t-shirt shops but Bar Harbor may have outdone us. Very crowded even on a Wednesday afternoon. However, make time to hit the towns on your way up including Belfast, Rockport, Camden, etc., just as nice as Bar Harbor only smaller. In Thomaston you have to stop at the MAINE STATE PRISON STORE...unbelievable the quality of the woodworking on their items. Some of the furniture in the house came from this store....you gotta stop and look around. Even Darmiscotta had some nice shops. You have to visit Pequimad Point, the lighthouse and the old fort William Henry about 35-40 minutes from the house through Darmiscotta. It was quintessential Maine right down the street. The Hannaford grocery store in town has everything you will need and is about a 15 minute trip. Again, nothing to complain about with this house...4 adults and we all had more than enough room to get around. Would stay here again."

  • Wonderful property

"We loved staying at this house. We were there for 16 days. Everything in the house was perfect. The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary equipment (coffe maker, blender, pots and pans of excellent quality, dishes, etc.). The beds are very comfortable and so are the pillows. The house is located at the end of a short gravel road, very private and quiet. It is about 2 mi. from Rockland which has wonderful restaurants, art galleries and museums. We will definitively return to this house for another great vacation."

  • Cute cabin

"The cabin was very cute and very clean. Right on the water. Unfortunately we had a very rainy and cold time so we really did not get to experience the lake like we wanted to. The cabin had great heat and made it feel very cozy. A couple of more games (monopoly etc) would have been great but we had fun."
