  • Very charming and has character

"I was attending a wedding at the Samoset and wanted to spend some time relaxing for a few days. I found a rental just down the road from the Samoset with a great view and charming. The house had character and all the amenities that I needed. The hosts were gracious and checked up on me to make sure that my needs were met. I would most definitely consider this house rental in any future vacation stays on the coast. The unit was clean and presentable. A welcome binder was available with local eateries worthy of sampling. Bagels and coffee was available for us for breakfast. I was pleased at the size of the unit and space. Thumbs up!"

  • Great views and sunrises each day, laid back and relaxing. Listing was pretty much spot on .

"House is in a great location on great bay, and everything the posting says is true, very clean and kept up. All the family picture give it a homey feel and history. It's a short boat trip to state beach. Look out at lake from porch , dock is great place for kids to fish and swim. Far enough away from everything but near enough to enjoy the town and restaurants . Be sure to catch mass at St. Patrick's church . The house is big enough for your family or cozy enough for a couples getaway. You really do'nt have to bring much with you have games, life vest, fishing poles, kayaks and friendly neighbors. WiFi is spotty but also makes it that much more enjoyable being out of touch of everything, almost any restaurant or store has wifi if you need to catch up on something or post your trip.. Ha ba blast and the family wants to go back already. Enjoy the simple life! And kick back. Thanks"

  • Wonderful property, wonderful area of Maine

"We stayed at the property for six days in August, 2016. Noteworthy is how complete the kitchen is - there isn't much you would have in yours that you can't find there. As we were staying for family vacation with family we only get to see once a year we spent a fair amount of time at the house, which included cooking as a family. We take vacation rentals quite a bit in different parts of the country, and this one had easily the best kitchen of all. The house layout has a sleeping area with a king and a double in two rooms connected with a room somewhat separate from the rest of the house, and a queen and two twins attached to the main house. This is perfect for larger families, or two couples vacationing together. I had not previously been in this part of Maine, and found it wonderful. Belfast and its harbor walk are a mere 20 minutes away, Bar Harbor is a slightly longer drive (but absolutely worth it, together with the beauty of Acadia state park). There are plenty of hikes in the area."
