  • Yahoo for yassou

"We spent a week at Yassou in the summer of 2015. We were 6 adults and 3 children. And yes, the house is very rustic and big enough for us all. Close to the beach by 5 minute car ride and other interesting sites and restaurants. We especially loved using the fireplace in the evening and sitting around together when the children were asleep for the night. One other comment, sleeping downstairs when it rained was slightly damp"

  • Terrific place, great views...

"This was a great experience. The house is beautiful and so are the views. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked with settings for 14, including wine glasses, cutting boards, mixers, colanders, larger serving bowls, pitchers and pretty much anything a person could hope to find in a rental home, and the gas fireplace along with the spiral stairs leading to the third floor lookout were a hit with all our guests. I should also mention that the personal service was exceptional, with an owner that answers his own phone."

  • Beautiful house and view.

"Owners being on property was more of a plus than I thought it would originally be since they were friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive. Beds were comfortable and rooms were nice. View and setting was great. Bathrooms could use a little work. Water pressure was great, though.(and drinkable) So many shoreline properties have water problems, generally. As a family we are rarely in the house but it was plenty big enough for when we were there. Good WIFI, cable, etc. First time I'd seen 'mosquito eaters', (a propane tank that generates Carbon Dioxide and vacuums them up when they are attracted to it), (green-head flies, too). He had a number of them that he move around. They were much appreciated since there are usually a lot of mosquitos, in Maine, in general. This past year was better since they were in a drought scenario. State Park Pass was included, a good thing since we have usually had to buy one. Close to Popham beach and plenty of great restaurants, around, too."

  • Splendid week in Phipsburg

"The site is beautifully situated with a balcony deck on which we spent all but the sleeping and outside beach, hiking, boating moments. The views are spectacular. Our family of six adults and four children had plenty of space in the living room and dining areas. Access to the beaches was easy, including vast and lovely Popham beach and the smaller Totman Preserve and Cat's Cove ( a three minute walk). Owner was easy to work with. The kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of space even for a group our size. I would highly recommend this home without any reservations to any family or group that wants a real Maine Coast experience."
