  • It doesn't get any better than this!

"My husband and I just spent a hugely enjoyable and idyllic week at the Wicked Cute Cabin on Norton Pond! We went kayaking right from our own private dock, we swam off the dock in the refreshing water, we gazed at stars from the chairs on the dock (you can see the Milky Way spread across the expanse of the sky!) while listening to the call of the loons and watching the lights from neighboring cabins twinkle on the water. We sat in the chairs under the shade of the trees enjoying the silence and beauty of the lake. We were there during the 4th of July celebrations and enjoyed private "surround sound" fireworks that echoed around the lake. The view of the fireworks from the middle of the lake was awesome! We invited friends and family for an evening barbecue at the outdoor picnic table and later toasted marshmallows to make s'mores around the campfire. One of our daughters and her husband joined us at the cabin for two nights. There was lots of space for all of us and our two dogs. The cabin is cozy, the beds comfortable, with all the conveniences of home. The kitchen is fully outfitted and got all the groceries we needed from the stores in Camden. There's lots to see and visit in the area, although it was hard to tear ourselves away from the lake and our cozy cottage. My husband went on hikes with our dog only a few miles from the cabin. We took a day trip to Acadia for lunch, a hike, and dinner. You won't find a better, more relaxing, or fun vacation spot than this! We'll be back!"

  • Wow View! Fantastic Cove Location!

"Wow is the first thing you will say as you open the door to this perfect vacation spot. Water views from every window make the home feel likes it is literally floating on the water. As you step down the the spacious living room you will find it filled with comfortable seating and a large coffee table. If the view from the floor to ceiling windows are not enough for watching, there is a large flat screen TV. The open dining room has a table that accommodates plenty of diners. The kitchen overlooks the dining/living space-- although small it really has everything you could need. The double sliders that lead to the deck offer an unbelievable breeze to the living area. On a beautiful day the deck is really where you want to be. Plenty of outdoor seating ( table and loungers) to enjoy a morning coffee or grilled dinner. We cooked a peck of clams out there one night. The grill was new and very clean! The deck looks out to a picturesque cove filled with docks and boats. We were able to bring our 20 ft. boat and canoe and tie them up at the dock for the week which made them easily accessible. Back in the house the bedroom configuration worked out well for our family of four and a dog. Kids slept in the twin beds on the first floor bedroom and the master bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor. Before we went to sleep we enjoyed the private hot tub. Screened in so no bugs, the hot tub also had amazing views of the cove as well. The house was perfect and Jim made sure of that! We had a fantastic Fourth of July week in this home and hope that it becomes and annual tradition!"

  • Perfect for family gathering

"This last June, my wife and I, our children and our children’s children, all 20 of us, spent a delightful June week at Pleasant River Farm on Vinalhaven Island, Maine. The property consisted of a large two story farmhouse decorated with numerous wonderful watercolors by the owner. Added to this was an even bigger open barn with swings, ping pong, picnic tables and plenty of space to just play in. At the back of the barn was another living space with a second kitchen, and 2 bedrooms that could sleep eight. Both buildings had large decks to enjoy. We were well taken care of by the amazing caretaker who answered our every question, took us to see fireworks, and helped us get lobster. There was a huge lawn to play games on and a short walk to water for using the available kayak and canoe. We just loved this indoor and outdoor space. Vinalhaven Island itself had numerous hikes to enjoy, an interesting town just two miles from our farmhouse, quarries to swim in and as much lobster as you could ever eat. We’d recommend this stay to anyone and are seriously considering returning for a second visit."

  • Great home, wonderful stay!

"Just left and missing it already! Our family, including an almost 2 and a 5 year old had a wonderful time. The house has every thing you could think of plus more. The kids had a great time playing in the playroom, swinging, play ping pong and outside. Adults had more than enough room to spread out but still feel cozy and together. Is close to all but also loved how it was both private and quiet. Would recommend to all! Thank you for sharing your home!"
