  • Ideal Vacation Home

"My wife and I have rented Dew Drop III a total of 4 months over the past 3 years. Clearly we love this remodeled cape! The location is perfect for enjoying Port Clyde. We particularly like walking to the Marshall Point Lighthouse, kayaking and having breakfast at the General Store (eggs benedicts are great). The house is so comfortable and very clean. We enjoy cooking and have found the large kitchen well equipped. The upstairs bedrooms afford plenty of space for visits by family and friends. Many afternoons I enjoyed watching the lobster fishing boats drop off their catch at the Coop which is visible from the backyard. You can buy your lobster at the Coop....ask for Gary. The boathouse on this property is a wonderful place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the sunsets. I am a painter and use the boathouse as an art studio during our stays. Management has always been totally responsive to our needs and we will continue to recommend this rental to relatives and friends."

  • Maine without the crowds

"Our trip to Sea Star was absolutely fantastic! The decor inside is perfect for a beach cottage. The back deck was very quiet and relaxing. And with two grills (a nice Webber and a Bayou Classic for boiling) you can grill/steam all the vegetables, lobster and steamers you want. Easy walk to town, Forrest Gump's lighthouse, the beach, or kayaking. If you want to enjoy Maine without the crowds... this is the place to go!"
