  • It doesn't get any better than this!

"My husband and I just spent a hugely enjoyable and idyllic week at the Wicked Cute Cabin on Norton Pond! We went kayaking right from our own private dock, we swam off the dock in the refreshing water, we gazed at stars from the chairs on the dock (you can see the Milky Way spread across the expanse of the sky!) while listening to the call of the loons and watching the lights from neighboring cabins twinkle on the water. We sat in the chairs under the shade of the trees enjoying the silence and beauty of the lake. We were there during the 4th of July celebrations and enjoyed private "surround sound" fireworks that echoed around the lake. The view of the fireworks from the middle of the lake was awesome! We invited friends and family for an evening barbecue at the outdoor picnic table and later toasted marshmallows to make s'mores around the campfire. One of our daughters and her husband joined us at the cabin for two nights. There was lots of space for all of us and our two dogs. The cabin is cozy, the beds comfortable, with all the conveniences of home. The kitchen is fully outfitted and got all the groceries we needed from the stores in Camden. There's lots to see and visit in the area, although it was hard to tear ourselves away from the lake and our cozy cottage. My husband went on hikes with our dog only a few miles from the cabin. We took a day trip to Acadia for lunch, a hike, and dinner. You won't find a better, more relaxing, or fun vacation spot than this! We'll be back!"

  • Great home, great base camp for many places

"Based on the great pictures we were very excited about this property, but the pictures really do not do it justice. The views from the deck are great. The house is much larger than it looked. The lower level provided great separation when needed, as we were travelling with several small families. There is even a small play room down there that the kids loved. The floor to ceiling windows in the living room provided fantastic views, and I really didn't want to get off the couch. The house was a short drive to downtown Wiscasset, and a reasonable drive to Boothbay, Popham, Reid, and Bath - all of which have plenty to do. The fire pit and canoe were a great addition. Sandra was great to work with as well. Can't say enough good things - book with confidence."

  • Wonderful home, we loved every minute of our 2 week stay!

"We spent two great weeks celebrating a "big" birthday with our family in and out... some for a few days and others longer. We enjoyed the lobstermen checking traps every morning right in front of the house. We rented kayaks that were delivered for some to use, we did harbor tours in Boothbay Harbor, we ate lobster in the wonderful area restaurants (Boathouse Bistro our favorite) and steamed many in our kitchen, we had a wonderful time together. We used the deck in the mornings for coffee and the screen porch in late afternoons for snacks and wine. All the beds were comfortable and the house very liveable for the 3 generations who used it. We watched some TV but spent lots of time playing table games in the dining area. The kitchen was a dream, totally equipped with everything we wanted and was a wonderful layout for a family cooking together. Ralph, the owner, was wonderful to work with, we had no problems. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for privacy (no neighbors) and a grand time in a very nice home in a wonderful location! We have utilized VRBO homes in many states and this was one of the best! July 2016"

  • Maine on the Lake

"I grew up spending summers in Maine so I experience great joy every time I return. I don't need a luxurious place to stay because Maine's charm is being outdoors. Bill's cabin is a nice cottage on a lake in Maine. It's all straightforward, with all the necessary items. Has a big deck as well as a screened in porch. The location is quiet and private. There is a great view of the lake. The yard is large, with a hammock to relax on and a picnic table to enjoy an outdoor meal with family & friends. There is so much to do in the area...my favorite things are spending every day kayaking on the lake, fishing, getting the pie at Moody's Diner, strolling through Damariscotta, visiting my old haunts in Owl's Head, scouting out the local farmer's markets. Looking forward to a return this summer."
