  • A beautiful and peaceful Maine retreat.

"I have been vacationing in Maine with my family for over 40 years, from the Rangeley Lakes region, to the rugged Maine coast, and this lovely home and pond, have been the nicest of all. No need to search any longer, this is it."

  • Lovely apartment in coastal Belfast

"We stayed in Alice and Nick's lovely apartment for two nights. It was plenty big enough for three adults, sparkling clean and very nicely decorated with lovely personal touches. The town center is within a reasonable walk from the apartment even in chilly winter and it was very pleasant to meander through the neighborhood and then walk back along the bike/footpath. The town is charming--we had a great evening at Meanwhile in Belfast (Pizza) and a tasty breakfast in Traci's Diner. Alice and Nick couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming--the sparking wine was a thoughtful touch. We will certainly stay with Alice and Nick on our subsequent trips north. We definitely recommend it."

  • None of us wanted to leave!

"If you are picturing a rustic cabin in the Maine woods, the only commonality with this house is the Maine woods. The house is manse-like, with spacious elegant rooms and sink-into furnishings. The outdoor covered deck is magnificent and affords hypnotic views of the pond and towering trees. Six of us -- two twenty-something girls, a friend and me, and my parents in their 80s -- spent a week in early August at the Kelly's home. We had more than enough room to spread out and kept finding new things to play with: a pogo stick, board games, etc. The house has virtually everything anyone would need and you arrive to find the beds made up and the house spotlessly clean. The Kellys were unbelievably nice, even swapping a cookbook for a boogie board! We saw The Mikado performed in a nearby park by a talented local company from Belfast, and were delighted by the food at Darby's and Chase's Daily. The only caveat, and surely this applies only to us, is that it was difficult for my elderly parents to get down to the water and the pond is not good for swimming. The muck at the bottom of the lake and the copious sea grasses made it hard to enjoy a swim. But it's good for canoeing/kayaking and breathtaking to look at. This is our fourth vacation rental in Maine and will go down in the books as the nicest house we've ever rented, owned by the nicest people!"

  • Rustic Comfortable Panoramic views in a comfortable quiet setting.

"Arriving in Maine in late Oct. to 70 degree weather was a treat which was only amplified by the comfortable and inviting home spend there. Bird feeders for the feathered visitors who shared the sunrises out of the distant Fox Islands and breakfast on the desk. Ample room to read and cook or amble around the country side. The very short ride to the surrounding communities of Rockland, Owls Head, Rockport, and Camden offered as much variety as each day could pull in. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the special touches the property owners added upon arrival. And though it was a cold wet rain for the day of departure, with two small logs in the wood stove , I found myself wishing for a much longer stay and take in some of the library whilst nestling upon the couch. Thank you. ~Will"
