  • Could not have been better!

"My husband & I and a couple of family members booked this cottage for a week for vacation. We LOVED this place. Super clean, great layout, tons of space, and a BEAUTIFUL view. I have a feeling we'll be least I hope so!! I have mobility issues (I walk with a walker) so I wanted to address that for others who might need it. There is a small grassy knoll sloping down to get to the house. There are a few steps (wooden bannister on one side) and then two steps up to get onto the porch, and another one into the house. After that, you're home free -- a ROLL IN SHOWER and perfectly positioned grab bars in the bathroom. Easy to get around inside, we just put a few rugs aside. Highly recommended!!"

  • A wonderful family reunion of 3 generations

"What a wonderful place for all 11 of us including our son's dog. Chris was wonderful to rent from and couldn't have more accommodating. He gifted us with plenty of fresh lobsters ( his son-in-law is a lobsterman). Also the grandkids loved that there were two kayaks on the dock upon arrival which we enjoyed during the week. The space of the rental was wonderful and we all enjoyed all the space, so that everyone could be together but still have alone time. While exploring the island we found this wonderful trail through the woods that provided the kids with boulders to scramble over and places to play hide and seek. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen to cook in every night and one night we watched the movie "Andre" and then the kids went to see the memorial to Andre in Rockport later in the week. Lots of space outside to have fun playing ladderball and cornhole (which we brought with). The only thing that could be corrected would be the sulphur odor in the boathouse apartment. My daughter and her two children stayed here and we did bring the issue up to Chris' daughter, who said it was ok to shower but she wouldn't drink the water. My daughter did find some of her clothes stained from washing them in the boathouse washer. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to people that want to get a large family of all age groups together. The views are magnificent and watching the sun rise every day as I drank my coffee and watched the boats doing their lobstering was memorable. Could have stayed here for longer. Thanks to Chris and his generous family."

  • Little knotty pine Maine cottage with a big view

"This knotty pine cottage with it's magnificent water view epitomizes the Maine experience. The cottage is a bit rustic but with all the essential comforts of home. Located in mid coastal Maine, it is easily accessible to popular sites, such as Acadia National Park, Monhegan Island, and Marshall Lighthouse, and not to mention the multitude of antique stores(such as those in Warren, Maine). If traveling the first part of October, the tourist will be awarded with a fantastic leaf show.....reds, oranges, sunny yellows. After your day of sightseeing, you will return to the cottage for another breathtaking view of the water...right outside your door. Lobster fishermen anchor their boats early in the morning and return to their home at night. Our host and hostess were very gracious as well. I would highly recommend this cottage for a true "Maine experience"."

  • Stunning Coastal Maine Property

"We rented this house in late June. It has beautiful views, the sunset is the best while basking on the small side porch/deck sipping your glass of wine. The house easily accommodates 6 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances. You can wash & dry your clothes in the laundry, or possibly you might wish to hang them on the clothes line to dry in the sun with the island breezes. The house is cozy and comfortable; you could easily curl up and read in the attractive living room or on one of two outdoor porches. The bedrooms and bathrooms are wonderful, new, and nicely decorated. There are beautiful outdoor gardens full of perennials and a sumptuous vegetable & herb garden. We loved every minute of our stay at Sandy & Cliff's house. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone."
