  • Awesome get away!

"My family picked this place for a reunion, it has everything we needed for an adventure away. We kayaked in the bay, hung out in the cabin, the location was perfect for hiking or to get to Portland. Wouldn't change a thing! The owner was super helpful with scheduling, great with communication."

  • Great time on a beautiful piece of property

"I had a great time last weekend thanks to extremely accommodating landlords who were not only helpful but went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The property is well kept and the house was a pleasure to relax in. Upon arrival, I met with Darren and Melissa who welcomed me with a tour of the property and some background. Super sweet people who are very dog friendly (which is awesome given the size of the property---your dogs will love it!) and helpful. The house was in great shape--all the linens were clean and the kitchen works like new. The bathroom is brand new and is in top shape. The grounds around the home include a porch and fire pit, and the walk to the kennebec is minutes. I would seriously recommend this rental for anyone looking for a nice, relaxing, quiet weekend away in true Maine fashion. You are minutes from Bath/Bruinswick if you wanted a little more excitement too."

  • Ellen R

"We stayed at Captain Smith for a girls weekend in Oct, 2016. It was fabulous. The house was very clean, nicely decorated, and plenty of room for 5 women. The kitchen was great. Living room with fireplace was lovely as it was cold in the evenings. The wrap around porch is a great place to have coffee in the morning or drinks in afternoon. Location was great and a short walk to town or longer walk to State Park. The owners were fabulous and very helpful. Overall a perfect long weekend. Would definitely come back and recommend to others."

  • A great stay in Maine

"We had a girlfriends reunion at this beautiful Maine home and I can't say enough about the comfort and location of this charming waterfront cottage. We had plenty of space to spread out, a great kitchen equipped with everything that you could possibly need, a wonderfully wide wrapped porch where we spent hours enjoying our morning coffee, having evening cocktails, watching the boats go by, and catching up with old friends. The Owl's Nest has been very well thought out and provides every comfort for you to enjoy coastal Maine at it's best. The home is "tucked in" to enjoy all the privacy that you would need but close enough for walking to the charming general store where the breakfast pizza is so delicious. We enjoyed fishing, shopping and dining in the quaint downtown area, relaxing walks throughout Boothbay, cooking in the great kitchen, and warm cozy fires during the cool evenings of May. And, our weather was awesome so it made for a perfect week for making great memories. We all loved it and want to come back with our families. Next time though, we will be enjoying the boathouse... having ping pong tournaments and dancing under the disco ball.... just love that touch! Thank you, Bob, for the gracious comfort of your home for your guests."
