  • Clean & Comfortable

"The property was as we pictured it - large enough for a family of 4 & on the water with a beautiful view. Our children loved being able to put their kyacks in right on this lovely cove. This was our first time booking with VRBO and this experience was so smooth we would definitely consider it again!"

  • Wonderful stay!

"Cute house. Cute town. Restful and easy stay. We loved this little house. It was clean and the owners were so nice and accommodating. It is so close to downtown shops, restaurants and a great local coffee shop. We loved our stay and did not want to leave."

  • Great value for a family vacation.

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Anne's Cottage. "Sea View" is a bit deceiving but regardless it is located in a quiet area which was very pleasant for a spring stay The trees were blooming and the smell of lilacs was in the air. It is located across the street from the beach with houses and big beautiful trees blocking the view for the most part. The cottage is very convenient to restaurants and shops.. We found the cottage very clean and supplied with all you may need other than food for meals. The downstairs bedroom was geared towards children and one of the windows had no curtain. Would not think a couple would be comfortable there. The upstairs bedroom was very comfortable. Woke up to the beautiful Maine sunshine coming in the windows. The bathroom has a washer and dryer along with a tub/shower. We did have to hang a sheet over the window. LOL It is right beside the toilet and tub and when the lights are on at night it can offer quite a peep show. The neighbors are not close but we did see them out in their yards often. Easy fix and not a problem. I quess if I had a complaint it would be lack of comfortable seating in the living room. There is a nice love seat and only a wooden chair. A pretty chair but not one to relax in. Off the living room is a large deck. We very much enjoyed sitting out there enjoying nature. I would not recommend the cottage for 2 couples to stay but definitely for an affordable family trip to Maine. Since getting home I have suggested it to a few of my friends. There are not a lot of frills like you might expect from a VRBO rental but it is a true taste of Maine and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again."

  • Beautiful house in a magnificent setting

"Our extended family rented this home for a heavenly week on the Maine coast. The water views, giant ceilings, and post and beam construction make this one of a kind home so memorable. Everything was in fine working condition and the huge and fully equipped kitchen provided a chance for some relaxed family dinners. Bob was very helpful on the pre-rental questions as well as getting us settled upon our arrival. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms very spacious. We spent leisurely mornings looking at the ocean from the living room or decks or walking down to the rocky beach. The location provided easy access to Mount Battie, Camden, and even Acadia. Went on our first sailing experience out of Camden Harbor. The night sky was breath taking. The house provided ample space if you needed a quiet setting to read but the main living area was perfect for gathering. We were so very happy with this house."
