  • Awesome Maine experience!

"We stayed at Sea Blessings for a family wedding down the road. Tiffany and Chris were the perfect hosts. They guided my mother in law in when she was a little unclear on the directions. They were both very helpful throughout our stay, and were always a text away when we had 'tourist' questions. The house is very cozy and easily accommodated our party. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything you would need to cook up some big family dinners. The back porch has a very nice fire pit and was great when the temperature dropped a bit. The General Store has all the fixins' required for S'Mores. The location also could not be better. The house is an easy stroll down to the dock. We found ourselves relying on the 5 Islands Lobster Company for lobster dinner every night. They would steam them for us, and then we'd just bring them home and eat them up. We found that the General Store, a few miles drive from the house was the best for Lobster Rolls..and they're open during the week as well.   Overall, the house is great, and everything was as described in the listing! I would highly recommend a stay here, and hopefully will get a chance to come back in the future!"

  • Perfect Maine coast getaway--emphasis on "away"

""Birdsnest" is a big, beautiful house right on the water. It's clean and comfortable, but keeps a real vacation-house feel. It's a great place to walk, kayak, or just do nothing for a while. The air smells good. We spent many hours just sitting and watching the clouds, the lobster boats, and the stars at night, on some folding outdoor recliners. We saw porpoises most evenings. If your kids get tired of playing cards, MacMahon is a safe place to let them roam free--nice people, no cars. It is quite isolated, and some (especially some kids) might find it boring, though that wasn't a problem for us. Getting yourself and your stuff on and off the island is a bit of an operation, so make your grocery list carefully and don't plan on a lot of side trips. Owner Elizabeth responded quickly to emails and took good care of us."

  • Northport Rental--Thumb's Up

"The property is very quiet and secluded but only 10 minutes from downtown Belfast. Cottage furnishings are somewhat worn but comfortable, and the cottage is well-supplied with the basics. Spacious lawns lead to stairs to a rocky beach. Low tide reveals extensive gravel/sand flats perfect for wading, birdwatching and exploring the coastline. The host, Carl, could not be more pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my stay."
