  • Totally perfect place!

"We ended up with an unexpectedly large family reunion for a week, but I had booked this lodging when I thought we would be a small group. As a consequence, I saw many lodgings (including 3 just for me and a friend during the week). And this one was the best of the lot, if you value a bit of seclusion, flexibility in terms of how many people can be accommodated, a beautiful and scenic setting on the water, a handy location to Round Pond and beyond, and want to swim (or kayak -- we rented one to have at the edge of the property and my kids swam daily), bring a dog, and be welcomed in a very personal and appreciated way! It was very clean, light and bright, well-equipped and comfortable. An ideal rental."

  • A Beauty!

"We spent two weeks in this lovely house on the water, watching the lobster boats and the local wildlife...we even saw an otter on the rocks below.....and enjoyed every bit of it. The house is immaculate and has everything you would need to prepare meals, cook up the lobsters, and relax in front of the fireplace. We did tear ourselves away to look at some of the sites in this region but the majority of our time was spent in the house and on the deck. Drive down Rt 96 and look at the spectacular views down at Ocean Point....not to be missed! The local brewery, The Watershed restaurant, was a wonderful experience....great food...and six craft beer flights to boot! If you are wondering where to get a fish tile like the one in the mantle, you can find that and other gorgeous tiles at the Tile Connection, about 15 mins away. We bought quite a few art tiles there. The whole area is lovely to look at ...we took drives around both peninsulas while we were there and enjoyed the distinct beauty of this part of Maine. Loved it! The leaves were already turning brilliant colors so we were treated to that on our way out last week. All in all, a perfect vacation ! Look no further, you've found the place for next year! (if you can beat the competition for reservations)"

  • In Love with Maine!

"We had a wonderful week staying at the Healy's beautiful, boothBay townhome - the property is just as pictured and better. The home is very clean and comfortable and provides plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The view off the deck was enjoyed many mornings over coffee as well as evenings over a cold beer or glass of wine. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a beautiful vase of fresh peonies and a nice bottle of wine - thank you Valerie and Maurice, very nice touch. We were on the go most of the week enjoying the Windjammer festival, the great selection of restaurants that are just a short walk into town (ate at Ports of Italy twice!) and we absolutely loved visiting the Botanical Gardens - it is a must do if you are in the area. While we have a lot of places to travel to on our bucket list, we think that Boothbay is a definite repeat! Thank you again M&V for sharing your fantastic property on VRBO!
