  • Cozy and Comfortable

"You will feel like this cottage has been in your family for generations. We fell in love with the view and most days just lingered on the enclosed porch or outside on the roomy deck, watching lobster boats, sail boats and crafts of various configurations make their way through the blue, ever changing tides. Look for the heron guarding his hunting ground on the shore below or watch the otters diving for fish. Peaceful and relaxing yet you are just minutes away from restaurants, groceries and downtown Boothbay Harbor. Comfy beds. Relax and enjoy. We were a party of four adults and would recommend."

  • Just as Advertised - perfect camp

"A very nice property with lots of charm. Perfect for relaxing, grabbing a quick swim or paddle on the kayak. Even walking on the local farm roads for some exercise was pretty decent. Close to town (Damariscotta and Waldoboro) for re-stocking and restaurants. Nicely affordable. Has a great patio with fire pit, which is essential to a camp in our view. There are kayaks in the boat house, but I would bring your own, as the ones in the boat house are a bit dated. The paddleboard in there is brand new, if you like paddle boarding. The cabin was clean and well-appointed. Has one bathroom, which is accessed through one of the bedrooms, so that takes some consideration. The beds were very comfortable. The owner was super-responsive when we needed more bedding and specific directions. We'll come back again!"

  • Wonderfully kept property that excexceeded our expectations!

"Skip and Judy made our stay in Maine effortless. They greeted us with brownies and left the light on because we arrived late at night. They had our beds made up and toiletries ready for us. The wood work in the apartment is beautiful and smells great. Everything was maintained nicely. The instruction book on things to do town and how to cook a lobster were very helpful! Plus Judy helped us get our lobsters. Skip took us on a fun boat ride and provided a nice tour and background of the lake. We absolutely loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone who asked us. We would love to come back one day!"

  • Great Location and House

"We rented this house for a week long stay with our family of 4 and my SIL and her husband. The 6 of us were very comfortable in the house. It has plenty of room for privacy but a living area comfortable enough to accommodate all 6 of us. The house was clean and had everything we needed for the stay. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking (pots, pans, knives, etc). I greatly appreciated that the house is nicely decorated but isn't cluttered so there is plenty of room for your stuff without it getting lost in a sea of knickknacks. The town is a comfortable and easy walk and the grocery store is a short drive away. We enjoyed being a little out of town on the lake where it was quiet and peaceful. The lake is wonderful for swimming and we even rented kayaks for a few days on the lake. The owners are friendly and checked in to be sure we had everything we needed but respectfully gave us our space as well. We were very happy with out stay. And we had our security check returned in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this rental and we would be happy to stay here again if we didn't live on the West Coast."
