  • Great time on a beautiful piece of property

"I had a great time last weekend thanks to extremely accommodating landlords who were not only helpful but went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The property is well kept and the house was a pleasure to relax in. Upon arrival, I met with Darren and Melissa who welcomed me with a tour of the property and some background. Super sweet people who are very dog friendly (which is awesome given the size of the property---your dogs will love it!) and helpful. The house was in great shape--all the linens were clean and the kitchen works like new. The bathroom is brand new and is in top shape. The grounds around the home include a porch and fire pit, and the walk to the kennebec is minutes. I would seriously recommend this rental for anyone looking for a nice, relaxing, quiet weekend away in true Maine fashion. You are minutes from Bath/Bruinswick if you wanted a little more excitement too."

  • Just as Advertised - perfect camp

"A very nice property with lots of charm. Perfect for relaxing, grabbing a quick swim or paddle on the kayak. Even walking on the local farm roads for some exercise was pretty decent. Close to town (Damariscotta and Waldoboro) for re-stocking and restaurants. Nicely affordable. Has a great patio with fire pit, which is essential to a camp in our view. There are kayaks in the boat house, but I would bring your own, as the ones in the boat house are a bit dated. The paddleboard in there is brand new, if you like paddle boarding. The cabin was clean and well-appointed. Has one bathroom, which is accessed through one of the bedrooms, so that takes some consideration. The beds were very comfortable. The owner was super-responsive when we needed more bedding and specific directions. We'll come back again!"

  • Beautiful and Serene Location

"My cousin and I stayed at the Camp for a girls getaway week and had a fabulous time! The owners, Bruce and Liz, are very accommodating and the camp has everything you could possibly need. If you love nature, this is a great place to go to enjoy it. The amount of wildlife at the lake is amazing! Most especially the loons and eagles. My cousin enjoyed fishing from various locations on the lake and shore and I especially enjoyed kayaking at sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed dinners on the deck overlooking the lake while listening to the birds. We hiked nearby in Acadia National Park as well as around the lake. The camp has something for everyone - for outdoor activity there's fishing, hiking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating and sailing; and for more sedate activities, there's TV, movies and relaxing on the deck or down by the lake with a good book or a pair of binoculars for bird watching. I definitely recommend this Camp to nature lovers; people who enjoy outdoor recreation; and people who are looking for a serene location to simply take time to relax and recharge."

  • Perfect family vacation, walked into town everyday

"An adorable cottage with an amazing location!! Stayed here with our 3 year old daughter and 2 month old son. Walked the beach across the street during low tide, spent time everyday at the park across the street and walked into town everyday for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just an ice cream. Karen and her husband are extremely friendly. Started the vacation off with Karen handing me a glass of prosecco when meeting up with her to get the keys at their art gallery in town. We came the week of the 4th, we walked to the church lawn about a 1/4 mile from the house to watch the fireworks across the harbor. In the future I'd like to stay during windjammer week which was the week before. Looks like they have a lot of activities that would have been fun. Could not say enough good things about this cottage and the location!"
