  • Perfect lake week!

"We just returned from our week at the lake with our two kids, age 7 and 4, their grandmother, and our dog. We had an amazing week! On top of perfect weather all week we enjoyed the wonderful sandy beach just steps from the porch and access to the dock to tie our small boat up to. There was plenty of space inside for everyone to be comfortable but we spend every little time inside aside from sleeping. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat almost all our meals in and the mattresses were very comfortable. We shared the beach with some family members on the weekends and they were welcoming and friendly. They even shared fluffer nutter sandwiches with my kids when they realized they had never tried fluff before! We enjoyed the big outdoor fireplace for smores as well. The only suggestion my husband had to make it perfect is an outdoor shower. Thank you for sharing your cabin!"

  • Idyllic Vacation

"I've just returned from an absolutely marvelous week at this glorious property and cottage on Lake Sebago. I had grown up summering on a lake but had been spending more time on the ocean in recent years, but never again. A lake... especially this lake and house...are the place for me. The cottage is rustic, with beautiful knotty pine walls and comfy leather couches and chairs for time spent in the house. The house was fully equipped with all one needs for an easy and comfortable stay, and the sandy beach was only about fifty paces away. Wifi, fire pit, raft, grills...everything was as advertised and working perfectly. I have rented houses for many years and this was the best in terms of supplies for kitchen , bathroom. etc. The owners, who live in a house close, are helpful, friendly and unobtrusive....but when we did get together for a barbecue it was a delightful evening. The house was very comfortable for 4 adults and 2 teenagers, and additional guests were so impressed they want to rent for next year. The lake is marvelous...quiet, clear and peaceful, a perfect getaway to relax and enjoy the wonderful Maine scenery . When you turn off the main road to get to the cabin you will find a tranquil and secluded cottage in a beautiful setting just 3 minutes away from civilization and all that you might need. Everything in the ad is true about this property but you will find much more to make your vacation memorable. I recommend this perfect spot for anyone who wants a wonderful Maine vacation. I am definitely going back next year."

  • Cozy and all of the comforts of home

"This was our first trip to Maine and we wanted to be on a Crescent Lake for our son who was enrolled in row camp nearby. Dragon Fly Cottage certainly exceeded our expectations. The cottage is cozy without being cramped, has all of amenities that you need, was clean. It was evident that owners took great pride and care in making Dragon Fly Cottage an easy and charming getaway. The place lived up to its namesake- we enjoyed watching the varieties of dagon flies on the dock. We kayaked on the peaceful and pristine lake, and floating in a tube in the comfortable water. We never saw a mosquito. We came prepared w bug spray and never pulled it out of the bag. The location is a quick trip to Freeport and Portland if you want to do some shopping, though we would have been quite happy w staying in Raymond only. The few restaurants we visited were very good and had offerings for a vegetarian with us. I've already told my sister that she needs to come to Dragon Fly Cottage- what more of an endorsement does one need! A fantastic getaway in a wonderful area. I can't wait to come back😁򐐽򐘁"

  • Wonderful week on the lake

"My family could not have had a more peaceful, beautiful week. The weather was perfect, sunny days and cool nights. We spent a lot of time on the huge deck that practically sits on the water. We didn’t do a lot of cooking but the kitchen seemed well stocked. The cabin is very comfortable, the ceiling fans worked great for the hot days. There was more than enough room for the three of us. The owner was very responsive but not intrusive. Highland lake is beautiful. The sandy entrance made for great swimming. The location is perfect. Because it’s at the very end of the road it has the quiet and privacy we wanted but it’s only about a 10 minute drive from the center of town. Bridgton has a movie theater and a drive in. We enjoyed breakfast at Beth’s Kitchen and dinner at the Gastropub. We saw a mother deer and her doe crossing the road in front of the cabin. Unfortunately we didn’t see loons but we did hear them. We all wished we rented for two weeks instead of one. Looking forward to next year."
