  • A delightful Maine Lake experience

"The property was well maintained and clean for use. Although the house is not air-conditioned, there are fans available which help a bit on very hot days. The owner was a pleasure to work with and very helpful for any needs such as finding paddles or kitchen items. We enjoyed our stay."

  • Perfect Vacation

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely vacation home. The home was close to everything and had all of the necessary amenities that we needed for our vacation. Our children loved the loft as it was their own little "hideaway". The owner was great and was always available for any questions that we may have had. I would definitely consider renting this home again in the future."

  • Wonderful home; Wonderful Location

"Sheila and Steve's home on Thompson Lake is wonderful. It is well equipped (linen, kitchen items, and other supplies) and can even accommodate a large family with young children on a rainy day (foosball, ping pong, board games, a extensive DVD library, and a hot tub)! The children love the bunk room which, as do two bedrooms for adults, has a great view of the lake. Lake access is suitable for youngsters, swimmers, and boaters. The home comes with a canoe and two kayaks which are great for exploring the lake. Shopping is a short drive. Thompson Lake is large (11 miles long) and deep (120 feet at deepest). There is little boat traffic. The water is clear. We know central Maine lakes, and we can attest that Thompson Lake is the finest. The home is quiet. It is located on the second of two islands connected to the mainland by two causeways."
