  • The best vacation we have had in years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"We rented both the Grand House and the Guest House for our family. The houses were perfect-pine, stone, sunken living room, decks, windows everywhere and views. Even internet service, HBO Etc. But we didn't watch a lot of TV. We swam and sat by a campfire on the shore at night. There are boats and canoes. We climbed Bald Mountain with its spectacular views. But most of all it was so darn relaxing. We did go to the Oxford Casino one night and won $500. That was just a small bonus compared the wonderful family vacation we had in Maine. Thank you for the memories. We are definitely coming back. And our friends are also renting the Guest House in 2016."

  • Wonderful stay, enjoyed by all the guests.

"We rented Snowbird Lodge for a birthday party. Out of town guests spent the weekend at the lodge and everyone was complimentary about the accommodations. The Lodge was clean and had everything we needed. The owner lives on-site and greeted us when we arrived, made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were comfortable and the mattresses were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the guests were very impressed when they arrived and saw it. There were about 40 guests who lived nearby and came to the Lodge for the party. The Lodge comfortably accommodated everyone, was kid-friendly, and had ample parking for all the cars. The fireplace created a great ambiance and a warm glow in the living room. The large screen tv was great for displaying a slide show of photographs during the party. After the party, the kids watched some of the Lodge's movies while the overnighting adults relaxed. I wouldn't hesitate to rent the lodge again and recommended it to other guests who might be looking for a venue for a large group. We had lunch one day at the near by restaurant The Ruby Slipper and the party food was catered by the Campfire Grille and was excellent. The nearby town of Bridgton and Norway had stores for browsing and for party supplies and shopping. All-in-all the Snowbird Lodge was wonderful."

  • Great house!

"We loved this house! It was very clean, comfortable and cozy. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and it was the perfect size for 4 adults and two teenagers. The backyard was very big and it was fun watching all of the golf carts from the course driving by as you're sitting on the back deck. My son loved being able to walk over to the driving range to hit some balls whenever he wanted. Having use of the owners' golf cart was very nice. We would definitely stay there again!"

  • Lovely Cottage

"We stayed here for a week in August with our entire family of 6, including a 1 year old. The cottage is in beautiful shape; it actually looks new. Each entryway is tiled, there is an outdoor shower and a nice lawn area. And as someone noted, it is about a mile from Route 302 but we never heard any traffic noise at all. It is right on the community beach (which was very quiet while we were there). We had a wonderful time using the 2 kayaks (there is also a rowboat and canoe), and the Basin area is off the main lake and less wavy, which is perfect for children. The beach is shallow and sandy. It is hard to find a house with "adult bedrooms", and the 3rd bedroom here does have bunk beds but that worked alright for us. 3 bathrooms and a washer/dryer also were a bonus. The only small complaint we had was that the AC units in the main and upper floors were very small. It was a hot week and we had to run them constantly in order to keep the rooms cool. We would have loved to turn them off during the day, open the windows, and then turn them back on in the evening before bed, but that would not have worked. The lower walk out basement room did not have AC (there was a fan), and started to smell a bit damp by the end of the week. Another window unit here would solve this issue easily. We had a couple of very small issues during the week that were promptly dealt with. All in all, we loved the cottage, the neighborhood, and the lake. We would definitely consider returning."
