  • Hidden gem

"We fell in love with the cabin as soon as we got there. We emailed the owner shortly after arriving to reserve the cabin for the same dates next year. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot for our tenth wedding anniversary. The cabin was well stocked with anything you could need from steak knives to space heaters."

  • Comfortable & convenient

"We had a great weekend here. Very comfortable for 4 adults and 6 teens/kids. It was great to have wifi and the TV. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans, etc. The owners were very quick to answer my questions. Super helpful, even when I left something at the property. I've thought a couple times about how we'd love to get back there again."

  • Amazing place to be get back to the basics

"We just spent a wonderful weekend at the Birches and hope to visit again soon. The view at this property is just incredible and just so peaceful. The owner Debbie was very nice and lets you enjoy the entire property. We spent hours sitting on the deck just looking at the water and mountain views. The camp we stayed in was so nice, it was rustic but extremely clean. The camp has all the necessary things you need for your stay and is full of charm. When we came in to the camp there were fresh cut flowers from the properly as well as several small pine cones and a leaf that just turned red. Something so simple just sets the tone for your stay at the Birches. It was a cool night when we stayed there, so we were able to have a nice fire in the wood stove and warm the place up. The bedding in the camp was incredibly comfortable and warm. The camp is well furnished all you need to bring is your food and yourself. With no cell phone reception at the camp we were able to totally get away and just relax. This is something we should all do more of, getting back to the basics and enjoying nature. We just spent hours playing games, talking and laughing. Not to worry, there was a land line phone in the camp, so you could make a call if there was an emergency. Also if you drive less than 10 minutes you get cell phone reception. There were several wonderful places to take hikes near by and Debbie lets you enjoy her kayaks on the lake. We also enjoy our visit with her dog Jack. Jack was very friendly and my daughter and friend really enjoyed his company. He was around the property but never was a nuisance and we enjoyed our time with him. If you looking for a clean, quaint place to get away the Birch is the place for you. It truly is a hidden paradise that I highly recommend you visit when you want to get back to the basics and just enjoy life. Thank you Debbie for our wonderful stay at the Birches"

  • Perfect house for a group ski weekend!

"We stayed here with a group of 10 for a weekend and it was perfect. Heather makes everything very easy with info about the house and it was even better than we expected! The open floor plan is very welcoming for a large group and everything was very clean. The big kitchen made it very easy for cooking for everyone and all the necessary tools were provided. The wifi was very useful as well with a big group! It was the perfect distance from Sunday River and it made getting to and from the mountain very easy. You can't beat the price for the value and I would recommend this stay to anyone!"
