  • We loved it here!

"My family of 5 spent last week (first week of August) here at this beautiful location. It was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed every minute of it. We spent our days floating in the water and kayaking and our nights playing games and watching the Olympics. It was just perfect for family bonding. My teen caught one of the biggest fish he has ever caught (don't ask me what kind because they all look alike to me)! He was pretty happy though. The owners are very responsive to emails and send plenty of information to help you make the most of your stay. We were very sad to leave but are already looking forward to coming back next year. <3"

  • Wonderful Family Vacation (w/ 3 Teenagers)

"Quiet, well-stocked, well-loved lakeside cottage exactly as advertised - sandy beach, swimming dock, excellent wifi/cable, good laundry (in basement), charcoal grill and gas grill, perfectly comfortable for our family of 5 (including 3 teenagers). Kitchen was thankfully outfitted with every conceivable pan, pot, strainer, knife, etc. Enjoyed s'mores on the beach using the firepit (ample firewood provided by owners) - Adirondack chairs were comfortable, plentiful and easy to move around the sand for perfect sun. One fun side note - there's a small island (really just a huge jumble of glacial granite boulders with a tree and some vegetation) about 300-400 yards off the beach - amazingly fun to swim out with snorkles and goggles to explore two sunken barges, schools of fish and rock formations (water only about 8-10 feet deep). Owners George and Bobbie were delightful - checked in on us as needed but not at all intrusive. To be fair: you are sharing a house on their (immaculate) property - so if you want absolute and total beach privacy this might not be an ideal choice. But for a family we couldn't have asked for a much better arrangement. 15 mins drive to good local restaurants, markets, Segago Lake State Park."

  • Awesome!!

"This was our first time at the cottage and we were pleasantly surprised! It is beautiful, well stocked and spotless! We also enjoyed the lemon meringue pie. We spent a lot of our time on the private beach. My kids, age 12 and 5, had a blast. We did a couple of day trips, and are familiar with the area. We loved that it was close to everything, yet so quiet and secluded. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • A week in the woods

"Just returned from great secluded cottage . Coming from the city it was a breath of fresh air to be at a spot with no noise. My family had a great time rented a speed boat for the week and docked it right outside the house on the private beach. I thought it was very nice of John calling us on the first day to make sure everything was alright with cottage. The cottage was great the extra 1/2 bathroom in one off the bedrooms worked out well one off the best features was the screened in porch great spot to read morning newspaper with coffee overlooking lake. I would recommend the place to friends and plan on going back next year."
