  • Idyllic Vacation

"I've just returned from an absolutely marvelous week at this glorious property and cottage on Lake Sebago. I had grown up summering on a lake but had been spending more time on the ocean in recent years, but never again. A lake... especially this lake and house...are the place for me. The cottage is rustic, with beautiful knotty pine walls and comfy leather couches and chairs for time spent in the house. The house was fully equipped with all one needs for an easy and comfortable stay, and the sandy beach was only about fifty paces away. Wifi, fire pit, raft, grills...everything was as advertised and working perfectly. I have rented houses for many years and this was the best in terms of supplies for kitchen , bathroom. etc. The owners, who live in a house close, are helpful, friendly and unobtrusive....but when we did get together for a barbecue it was a delightful evening. The house was very comfortable for 4 adults and 2 teenagers, and additional guests were so impressed they want to rent for next year. The lake is marvelous...quiet, clear and peaceful, a perfect getaway to relax and enjoy the wonderful Maine scenery . When you turn off the main road to get to the cabin you will find a tranquil and secluded cottage in a beautiful setting just 3 minutes away from civilization and all that you might need. Everything in the ad is true about this property but you will find much more to make your vacation memorable. I recommend this perfect spot for anyone who wants a wonderful Maine vacation. I am definitely going back next year."

  • Very nice beachfront cottage

"This home was perfect for our vacation with 2 adults, 4 kids, and a small dog. The cottage itself is in good condition, with a recently remodeled interior. It's not huge, but certainly adequate, and the cathedral ceilings in most rooms give it a more spacious feel. The extra half-bath is really important with 4 kids in in the house! The 14-year-olds loved the separate bunkhouse (which has electricity). There's a good sized deck built out on top of the water, and a mooring buoy to tie up a boat if you have one. The beach itself is also very private and pleasant. Sebago's water is warm, and although the lakefloor is muddy, once you get out a few feet the water is quite clear. The house is situated on a quiet cove in Jordan Bay of Sebago, and powerboaters seemed respectful in not buzzing by too early or too late in the day. The house is on a dirt road, so it's quite private, and what little traffic there is can't go quickly, so it's safe for biking or walking your dog. The Frye Island ferry is within walking distance. The owner was responsive, fair, and pleasant to interact with. We hope to return some day!"

  • Perfect Spot for Healing

"When I first drove up the country, shaded, secluded street and looked down at the cottage with the lake in the background, surrounded by large trees with the scent of pine in the gentle breeze, I knew this was going to be the perfect getaway spot. The grounds are rustic but well maintained, rich with diverse flora and very picturesque. The cottage is cozy and charming with a homey feel. Just sitting outside on the deck listening to the loons call while watching the moods of the lake is so healing. It's also situated in an excellent location. You are close to US 302 and only 45 minutes from either Portland, ME or North Conway, NH. Although you feel surrounded by nature, convenient shopping is just 10 minutes away. You will enjoy the hiking trails, swimming in the cool, clean lake, bird-watching, checking out the wildlife, fishing from the dock, or kayaking around Thomas Pond. My friends and I look forward to vacationing at this magical spot every year. If you want a peaceful, secluded, natural setting with all of the comforts of home, and the convenience of nearby attractions, then search no more. The only bad thing that I can say about coming here is the day you have to leave."

  • cozy, adorable cottage on the water.

"Cottage was clean, cozy and the porch overlooking the lake was a great place for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Loons serenade night and day! Bed and pullout couch very comfortable. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. There are stone steps leading down to the water so if you're planning on bringing your kayaks you should plan for this. Can kayak from Crescent Lake, through Tenney River to Panther Pond. The sleeping loft, which we didn't use, has a steep ladder for access. Would definitely rent this cottage again."
