  • Very nice beachfront cottage

"This home was perfect for our vacation with 2 adults, 4 kids, and a small dog. The cottage itself is in good condition, with a recently remodeled interior. It's not huge, but certainly adequate, and the cathedral ceilings in most rooms give it a more spacious feel. The extra half-bath is really important with 4 kids in in the house! The 14-year-olds loved the separate bunkhouse (which has electricity). There's a good sized deck built out on top of the water, and a mooring buoy to tie up a boat if you have one. The beach itself is also very private and pleasant. Sebago's water is warm, and although the lakefloor is muddy, once you get out a few feet the water is quite clear. The house is situated on a quiet cove in Jordan Bay of Sebago, and powerboaters seemed respectful in not buzzing by too early or too late in the day. The house is on a dirt road, so it's quite private, and what little traffic there is can't go quickly, so it's safe for biking or walking your dog. The Frye Island ferry is within walking distance. The owner was responsive, fair, and pleasant to interact with. We hope to return some day!"

  • Wonderful stay on a beautiful property!

"What a special piece of property on goregous Sebago Lake! We had an excellent stay and enjoyed all that the Lone Star Camp had to offer - calm sandy beach, hammock, gas grill, kayaks, fire pit, dock, float and gorgeous views. The property is set higher up overlooking the lake with excellent sunsets and just enough privacy if that is what is wanted. And it's right across from Frye Island which was fun to explore (and there is a cute restaurant/general store)! This is a great place for a family gathering or if you have young kids as it's equipped to handle both. It came with a lot of the things you just don't want to pack - beach chairs, life jackets, cooking supplies, kids toys. The main house is rustic, but full of charm and it was perfect for what we wanted - the authentic Maine lake experience. The garage apartment offers more updated sleeping quarters and air conditioning if it happens to be hot (it was unusually warm the week we were there!). There is also two cribs if you have young kids which is awesome! Jen and Brian were excellent hosts, answering a lot of questions we had prior to our arrival. We hope to come back again next year! Thank you!"

  • Comfortable, relaxing

"This was a getaway for our son & his 2 friends- all recent high school graduates. We all had a very relaxing time... taking pictures of the natural beauty around the lake & the stunning sunsets, taking walks in the woods. We took advantage of taking the rowboat out... I haven't been in a rowboat for 20+ yrs! The beach was just a short walk, well stocked with plenty of inner tubes & adirondack chairs for all. There were canoes available too. The cabin was comfortable- we all took advantage of the screened porch at some point in our stay. Jane made us feel welcome- showing us what was available, not only here at the cabin, but in the local area too (Ice Cream at Mosquito's! Yum!) Beautiful, peaceful, restful, rejuvenating..."

  • Best week ever!

"Having grown up on Panther Pond, I was really looking forward to spending a week back on the lake. I had not seen this cottage in person before I booked our week, but I was familiar with the location. When we arrived, we were more than pleasantly surprised. The cottage is gorgeous, impeccably clean, and the owners have thought of everything to make your visit perfect. Our favorite room was the patio under the deck which was beautiful and where we ate dinner every night. And when we opened the neat little shed and saw all the water toys available, we were blown away! My wife can be a little picky when it comes to places to stay (don't worry, she knows I'm writing this!) but even she high fived me and said, "This place is great!". We are already planning a week for next summer."
