  • Wonderful New Years vacation

"Thank you for making you home our home for New Years week. We had wonderful time and wonderful experience. You place was beautiful and very comfortable. The house was clean and nicely kept. It looked exactly like the pictures. We had everything we could need. It was very cozy and we all felt at home. The living room is the perfect place to hang out and is close to the kitchen so that the cooks can be part of what is going on. The family room downstairs was a perfect spot for kids to hang out and play. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. I would recommend this place to all."

  • Perfect camp for the discerning renter!

"I don't know where to begin - this camp was perfect! Absolutely everything that a parent, cook, dog-owner, kid, lake-lover, relaxer, etc would want or need was here. From the super equipped kitchen, to the FOUR kayaks, plush linens (including beach towels and even towels for dogs!), super comfy beds, games, immaculate grill, lots of fans, paper products, smores fixings, and keurig cups, we really only had to come with our clothes - in my many years of renting, that has never happened for us. Having a washer and dryer two doors down was super convenient (just plan ahead with some quarters) too. Local grocery store had everything needed and farm stands were all over the place. The management team at the property kept it immaculate - beach was cleaned at least 3 times when we were there (geese like to frequent). The ONLY downside for us with avid tween swimmers is that the lake is very shallow for quite a ways out in front of the property so we had to kayak away from the property to get swim time. For the little kids that were there, though, the beach and shallow water seemed ideal for safety and entertainment. Jess was extremely responsive and helpful from start to finish, including giving me tips to get a package delivered to the camp."

  • Nice and cozy cabin. Highly recommend.

"The cabin cozy feel is always a great choice for a ski trip vs a more modern home. I would recommend this listing for everyone. Great host. Nice fire place and wood burning stove. Very warm plenty bathroom and hot water for everyone. Having 2 kitchens is a plus. Thanks for everything! --Bruce"

  • Great for multi-generational family vacation

"I concur with other reviewers. Bob was a pleasure to deal with -prompt flexible friendly. He went the extra mile when he discovered a beloved teddy lost behind a bed and promptly sent it to our home! Gladness and relieved hugs ensued. More practically the house was clean comfortable and well provisioned and furnished. Beds comfortable, grill on the deck worked great. The lake was lovely, about a three minute car ride from the house, with a sandy beach which sloped gradually into the water. Perfect for kids, water crystal clear, and during our mid August stay we had the beach all to ourselves. Our grandsons interest in minerals and gems makes this area perfect for "rock hounding". Check out rock museum in bethel. Great hiking for all levels close by. Bethel just a few minutes away. This house was just what we wanted - all the mod cons combined with a gentle experience of rural Maine. Not cookie cutter condo"
