  • Gorgeous home in a beautiful setting

"My family and I just got back from a week stay at this gorgeous Sebago Lake home. We traveled with our almost 3 year old son, parents and friends. The house had plenty of room for all of us. My son loved the sandbox, toys and games. The large table on the deck accommodated all of us for dinner. The house is newer and is incredibly clean, tastefully decorated with just about everything you could need. The master has the best views of the lake and at night you can hear the loons and see the moon sparkling over the water. Off the master is the nursery which is really a 5th bedroom, just doesn't have a closet. You can access it from the master or from the hallway. It was perfect for our son and he loved reading the Goodnight Maine and Goodnight Lake books that were provided. The yard is large, grassy, and shaded, perfect for relaxing. But if you wanted sun you could just sit out on the dock. I recommend bringing beach chairs for this. The dock is great, and since it is new you don't have to worry about splinters. We rented a pontoon boat and were able to pull the boat right up to the dock for easy on and off. The lake in front of the house was calm the whole week except one day. I would recommend bringing water shoes as it is a rocky bottom. We enjoyed canoeing along the shore and paddle boarding (we brought our own paddle board, the house provides a canoe and 2 kayaks). We also loved the location of the home. You can easily get to Sebago Lake State Park and Sand Bar by boat or go over to Frye Island for lunch. By car there is much to get to quickly, including the Good Life Market, a great place for lunch sandwiches, salads and groceries. Bob's Seafood was great for ordering lobsters to eat on the deck, and their lobster mac and cheese is to die for. Mosquitoes Ice Cream was the perfect place for an evening treat. We also drove to Portland a few nights for dinner, not too long of a drive. Amazingly enough I didn't get a single mosquito bite even though we were there in July as the owner sprays the property. I do wish we were given a heads up about the company coming to spray while we were there, but I would rather have them spray and enjoy the outdoors than have to stay inside or cover myself in bug repellent. Gregg, the owner, was very pleasant to communicate with and very responsive. I hope to be able to rent his beautiful lake home again in the future! Highly recommend!!!"

  • A Piece of Heaven

"My family came up from the heat of NC to enjoy the most spectacular property we have ever stayed at in Maine. The large pine grove on the edge of the lake was gorgeous and the natural sandbar and crystal clear water were a blast to play in and enjoy. This is a great property for young families (the sandy beach) or older with great swimming and hiking right out the doors of the spacious and very comfortable home. Right now, we are trying to figure out the family schedules so we can make our reservations for next year. We want to go to bed to the sound of the loons again. I want to also thank the owners of this beautiful camp. They made our experience all the more enjoyable."

  • Relaxing Paradise part 1

"Clean. Complete Solitude. Exceptional Relaxation. It is impossible to put into the right words just how spectacular the Grand House is. Pictures can't either. The description of the property is as advertised. No surprises. Everything was clean. Everything was in perfect working condition. The pictures were not outdated. Our stay was for one week. We always bring food for a week and eat in, and in fact never left the property until we ran out of coffee on our fifth day. Washing machine worked. Clothes line for drying outside in a sunny area. Large microwave. Stove and oven was gas, not electric. Plenty of pots and pans for all types of cooking. Good counterspace and overall kitchen layout. Glassware for all types of drinks, too. Fridge and freezer large like at home. Table in kitchen sat 4 or the table in the dining room for a more formal dinner. The single floor house was ideal for us. Quiet ceiling fans kept us not feeling the 85-90 degree heat during our week. Nights were cool as expected. We often commented that whoever designed the Grand House must have known what they were doing. The porch was the feature, looking out into the pond. As we entered the house, a sense of "can you believe it" overcame us as we saw the view, realized the privacy and felt the homeyness. The openness of the kitchen invited conversation and comfort. The outdoor deck with grill was not shaded, and provided the perfect place to get a suntan or eat outdoors. The bedrooms were decorated in fitting with the house. The bathroom was all it needed to be as we never came close to running out of hot water and the shower pressure was ideal. Chairs were always comfortable. Lighting was exceptional, especially natural lightening. Even the bathroom had natural lightening. Sliding doors in each bedroom. Outlets in good places for phones, tablets, etc.. The places where we spent our time were designed so the view was always in sight: kitchen, bedroom, and porch. "Open" bar stool area between kitchen and dining / family room made it so it did not seem like separate rooms, but we were together at all times. Wifi worked well, and needed to be unplugged to reset. We never turned on the TV. Cell service (Verizion) was only needed once and worked only on the dock. .. continued .."

  • Beautiful home away from home!

"This house was perfect for all our needs. Plenty of space for everyone to be together and to have some privacy. We enjoyed every aspect of the house and its surroundings. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking to get away and stay in a comfortable and beautifully decorated home. It is very well kept to say the least. One thing I would like to mention is for anyone coming with small children be sure to bring baby gates, as there is a stairwell in the kitchen/living area leading to the basement. Thank you to the Chasse family for letting us use your home for the week!"
