  • Already booked for next year

"My family had the pleasure of staying at the cottages in August 2015. We liked it so much we are already booked for next year. We spent most of our time outside because the waterfront and weather were awesome --- crystal clear lake, awesome swim area with a sandy gradual drop off, dock, canoe, small boat with a motor, lakeside firepit, outdoor chairs, 2 canopy covered swings, large picnic table, and a gas grill. There were also blueberry bushes on the property for picking and making blueberry pancakes. The cottages were clean, comfortable and well maintained. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals and cook. There were also a few farm stands on the main road which were handy for picking up fresh veggies. The lake has a marina for renting boats and The Outpost (store/pizza/subs) that you can get to by boat or car. My family has been renting lakefront properties in NH & ME over the past 20 years and this place has everything we look for and is only the second place we have ever rented more than one time. So glad we found this peaceful, comfortable, relaxing, awesome property!!"

  • Best house on the lake

"We spent a week at the end of August at this beautiful home. It is everything that it is advertised to be and MORE! My husband totally enjoyed the gourmet cookware, I enjoyed the kayak's and the swimming, and we both enjoyed the fact that we could bring our Golden Retriever! Thank you to Becky and Warren for being so kind and generous. Becky sent me lots of information on activities in the area, but we hardly ever left the house and the lake! Maybe next time ...Sincerely S&B"

  • Wonderful home; Wonderful Location

"Sheila and Steve's home on Thompson Lake is wonderful. It is well equipped (linen, kitchen items, and other supplies) and can even accommodate a large family with young children on a rainy day (foosball, ping pong, board games, a extensive DVD library, and a hot tub)! The children love the bunk room which, as do two bedrooms for adults, has a great view of the lake. Lake access is suitable for youngsters, swimmers, and boaters. The home comes with a canoe and two kayaks which are great for exploring the lake. Shopping is a short drive. Thompson Lake is large (11 miles long) and deep (120 feet at deepest). There is little boat traffic. The water is clear. We know central Maine lakes, and we can attest that Thompson Lake is the finest. The home is quiet. It is located on the second of two islands connected to the mainland by two causeways."
