  • Thompson lake house is awesome!

"My husband and I spent the week celebrating his 50th bday with friends and family at this beautiful lake house. The house has everything you need and beyond, including a gorgeous view of Thompson lake. The house is very well built, modern and comfortable in a rustic wooded setting. The kichen was well outfitted for groups to cook together every night, before heading out to sit around the fire pit (which comes stocked with wood). My husband took advantage of a local guide to learn how to fish the lake and spent every day forward on the lake fisihing with his buddies (and even catching!). We would definitely recommend this for a peaceful summer vacation!"

  • Lake Thompson Vacation - Return to Childhood after 25 Years

"I rented Jeff's camp from Aug. 13-20, 2016 with my partner and cannot say enough about how wonderful the accommodations were. You see, I spent the first 13 years of my life every summer at Lake Thompson with my family, renting a camp on Wardwell Island literally directly across the lake from Jeff's camp - or as my family called it "Brigg's Island." This was a special place for my entire family for 3 generations, so the goal for renting Jeff's camp was to return to my childhood and enjoy all the wonderful aspects of Lake Thompson - and I did just that, and much more. The camp is perfect for enjoying all the lake has to offer (clean water, sandy bottom, swimming, and exploring the lake on the canoe and kayak), and we saw not just one but three amazing sunsets sitting on Jeff's dock that stretches out into the water. The dock is perfect because it's stationary, so there's no floating over waves and knocking your wine over! Just take a couple of the ample Adirondack chairs onto the dock and you'll find yourself sitting there for coffee every morning, and wine every evening. The cottage itself is set on a hill so you get an amazing view of the lake from virtually every level, even at the kitchen sink! It has everything you need, but still gives you that "you're at camp" feel with the smell of pine, and a terrific breeze that comes through the quaint cottage windows. There is everything you need, including a hammock that is strategically placed so that you can lay back and see the lake, the dock, the fire pit, and it's within arm's reach of a permanently installed bottle opener. (Clearly Jeff has thought of everything!) And right around the corner from the hammock is the outdoor shower that is ideal for quickly cleaning up while continuing to enjoy the fresh Maine air. The space in the camp is perfect for just two, or as many as 8 with comfortable beds and ample common space. It is also ideal for entertaining, as I had my family over for a BBQ and easily accommodated 20 people (plenty of parking), and the gas grill is placed conveniently on the deck with easy access to the camp. The unique tree-bar (that's what I called it) was definitely a hit for a sunset dinner for two, and at night we sat on the screened-in porch and listened to the loons calling to each other. Bottom line - if you're looking for a relaxing, well-appointed, quintessential Maine camp experience, Jeff's place is ideal. We will definitely be back next year!"

  • Cozy and Warm house for family get away

"We spent one summer week there for family get away. Both of the parents and all the 3 boys had a great time, the house provided everything you need and at a quiet and very convenient location. We went to 3 lakes around this area, the boys enjoyed all kinds of water activities. Every morning we walk down the road and the tricky pond is 5 minutes away and very beautiful to visit. Nina is very nice and thoughtful, very responsive to answer questions and provide support. We had a great time and definitely will come back again!!"
