  • This is the place to be. On the water, relaxed and cozy. Don't miss the chance to stay here!

"Each year since 2007, our family has stayed at this cottage. The past 5 years, we have had all of our children and spouses join us. It is quaint, clean and cozy. A perfect getaway. Close to the beaches, shopping and exploring. Then come home to peace and quiet and the most amazing sunsets ever. You will not be disappointed. We plan to return each year, always looking forward to it. Enjoy!!"

  • Wonderful Log Cabin

"We stayed at the log cabin to be able to spend some time with our college age daughter on her days off from a nearby summer camp where she is a counselor. To say we were impressed is an understatement! Kathie has done an amazing job with this cabin from its immaculate appearance to the charm of the decor. A real treat tucked away in the Maine woods. It felt so cozy and home like. We took several day trips to explore the beauty of Maine and always felt relaxed pulling up at the end of the day. It was very close to the camp where my daughter works so it was perfect to meet her during her times off. All in all, we loved the log cabin and would love to stay again. Kathie is a wonderful person who emailed promptly with great information about the area and answers to any questions I had. Everything was perfect and homey and in perfect working order! Thank you for a wonderful stay in the great state of Maine!"

  • Beautiful, private place!

"We stayed in mid June of 2016 and what a wonderful week it was! Things we LOVED The privacy, you can't see another house from any angle of the home/yard. The lot is steep, but beautifully wooded. The house it set well off the road. The dock was thoughtfully done, the area down by the water is wide enough to accommodate several chairs, and in our case a couple of sleeping dogs. The floating raft 15 feet out is a wonderful addition. The decks! This home actually has three, one level with the top floor of the house with a nice hot tub, large outdoor table, a grill, and a smoker! The lower one is set up so you can walk right out of the basement. The third is set down by the water with a fire pit. The setup of the home. Two of the three bedrooms have TVs, and the living room has a comfy couch and a recliner, also with a TV. The basement has an awesome bar set up, a couple of great recliners and another TV. It was great for us as we had two couples who couldn't agree on what to watch on a rainy night. They provided two Kayaks and a canoe. Hang a right off the dock and go to what looks like the end of the lake there is an amazing swampy/boggy area that is awesome to explore! Especially if you are a bird watcher. The loons have no fear of people and when you stop paddling and just float quietly they come surprisingly close. We also saw red wing blackbirds, painted turtles, snapping turtles, and ducks we couldn't identify. It really is a home. The kitchen has what you need. There are a few baskets of books, board games and a PS3 in the children's (bunk bed) room. Rich, the owner, is a nice guy. Excellent communication and helpful! The best part of this home, it's pet friendly. It's very easy to gate off the upper area of the porch so they can hang out with you. The hardwood flooring makes it easy to sweep up pet hair before you head home. Things to keep in mind if you rent this property. There are lots of stairs! Might not be the best choice for grandma and grandpa. This is a log home, anyone who has experience with them knows that they "settle" with time. A few of the interior doors don't stay shut very well. The driveway is STEEP. They aren't kidding about that. Unless you are jumping off the dock there isn't an easy way into the water and if you are a big baby like me you will need water shoes, the ground is mucky. In the owner's defense they may groom it more later in the season. Overall we LOVED this cabin and would be happy to return!"

  • Awesome Family Vacation

"If your looking to relax and love tall pines this is the place for you! Very comfortable for a family of 6 and close to great hiking and many fishing ponds. Awesome owners and great location make this place worth the stay. Very secluded cove makes it great for first timers looking to hang by the water or hard core fisherman. Best vacation we had in 4 years and highly recommended for people looking to get back to nature and family!!!! Oops, and dogs that like to jump off the dock!!!"
