  • Wonderful Oceanside winter weekend.

"A group of us, family and friends, celebrated the new year in this beautiful spacious Freeport home. The ocean wrapped around most of the house - predominantly cliffs of glacial boulder on one side and stairs that lead down to a small sandy beach on another side. Since it was winter we did not get to use the long pier but it's there for you. The kids went sledding and built a fort. We hiked through snowy fields and forest and along the ocean bluff, just by stepping out the front door. The bedrooms were comfortable and the one with no ocean view was my daughter's favorite. The entire place had a great energy about it. The town lost power but we didn't know because a generator took over which was very much appreciated. There is a lot of room for a large group to sit in the open dining area to cook, play games and talk. Plenty of chairs, sofas, a daybed, surrounded by window after window with the most breathtaking ocean views. Lots of little nooks for the the children to play in with a variety of games and puzzles for them in a trunk. There is an extensive collection of books, many of them on history and anthropology. I could've read the entire winter away, cuddled up by the fire and watching the seabirds paddle by. It is a truly spectacular sanctuary."

  • Refreshing!

"The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed for the 3 week stay. The natural light was beautiful. Having an air conditioning unit for late afternoons a few days was great. We found several local hikes and the restaurants in town are varied and all offered excellent fare. Brunswick is the perfect location to stay with easy access to the beaches and surrounding towns. The building is quiet and we highly recommend it as an option on VRBO!"

  • A lovely escape

"Lilliana's guest house is a very pleasant, spacious, comfortable home. It was unusually hot and humid the week we were there so we were very grateful for the AC units upstairs and downstairs. The home is beautifully decorated with lots of original artwork and soothing colors. The beds and furniture were in great shape and very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and had newer appliances. Her property is unique and lends itself to quiet strolls enjoying and observing nature, perfect for birdwatching, reading in the hammock, or children who just need to run around and explore. Although none of the 4 of us kayak, I imagine the bay would be a kayaker's dream, beautiful and calm with lots of areas to explore. We got to see clam diggers off-shore at low tide and my daughters and I got to see a bald eagle high in the tree above the dock. What a treat! Lilliana was delightful, always available for questions including recommendations for good places to eat. We highly recommend going to the Dolphin Marina and Restaurant in nearby Harpswell if you'd like a delicious dinner with a view! Get there early for dinner and enjoy at drink on the deck while you wait for a table. Spectacular sunsets, delicious food and great service! Lilliana's home is also a short country drive thru the woods and rolling fields to the college town of Brunswick and Boothbay Harbor makes a perfect day trip! Enjoy: )"
