  • lovely cottage with beautiful views

"Our family of 5 stayed in the cottage during the Bowdoin graduation (2016). I echo the comments of the previous review.... welcomed by flowers, wine, and everything we needed (BBQ, blender, bikes, etc). It reminded me of the Maine cottages of my youth. It was a perfect location to easily get to events in Brunswick but have a 'get-away' to host friends and family for dinners. There are several tables of different sizes and lots of chairs and we were able to seat many on the porch on one beautiful evening, and then were able to set up dinner for 8 in the livingroom on a cool night. It was just perfect. we loved the walks around Mere Point and recommend getting lobsters and other freshly baked goods from the marina/store near by. When i inquired about picking up lobsters, I discovered the marina will cook lobsters for you and package them to stay warm and they baked rolls and a blueberry desert to order! I would definitely recommend this cottage for families. We hope to come back."

  • Amazing stay by the ocean

"We spent a few days in this wonderful and very charming cottage. The ocean view from the bedrooms, the quiet and peaceful area, the sunset over the bay, the wonderful owners very helpful and friendly....made this stay magical and unique. Patricia"

  • A little paradise

"We spent ten days at Birch Point at the end of May with our three kids (all below 4 years old). The property turned out even better than on the pictures, making it an ideal retreat for families with young children; it's very well equipped, incredibly clean and well thought. Most of all, the view is breathtaking. Jon Leaver was always super helpful and diligent in answering all our questions. Overall, this was an ideal stay. We definitely recommend this property for vacations outside of the world ... we came back to NYC fully rejuvenated!"

  • Great long term stay

"We stayed for seven months while we first looked for and then bought a house in Brunswick. This was the perfect location for us in that it was convenient to everything, literally everything. While not house-hunting we went to lectures and sporting events at Bowdoin and played tennis at Maine Pines, both within five minutes, and did many other Brunswick activities. (And there's a back road route to LL Bean's, fifteen minutes away!) We stayed at Marcy's rental from fall to spring and found the house great for the "off season", warm and easy. I loved the soapstone wood stove, including splitting wood! Marcy was very helpful to us with regard to running the house and the usual newcomers' questions, as well as helping us understand the local real estate possibilities. All of our questions were answered. Our Dauchshund, Henry and Marcy's Dauchsund, Rocket became good friends. The only downer was that Sea Grass Farm wasn't available for us to buy! If we weren't now Brunswick residents ourselves, we'd want to stay again."
