Recent Chebeague Island reviews

  • Nice apartment, excellent location

"I agree with all of the affirmative recent reviews. The location was great for my wife, son and me as we were visiting our other son who lives 4 blocks away. The owner was communicative and her hospitality was excellent. The beds and rooms were comfortable and clean. Very good price to value. Last time in Portland I stayed at the Westin, I enjoyed this much better. It is in the city, so expect street noise. We were able to find on street parking each evening near the orthodox church on the next block, Pleasant Street. We will definitely stay here again."

  • Beautiful sunsets and views across the Kennebec.

"Very well maintained and clean cottage. The second floor porch is the perfect spot for morning coffee, to enjoy a good book or take a nap. The breeze off the water was refreshing with all of the heat this week. Close to all our favorite spots: Popham beach, Anna's Waterfront Restaurant, Bath Sweet Shoppe and the Mustard Seed Bookstore."

  • Cozy Cottage at the Ocean

"This cozy and rustic cottage is the perfect location for a young family or small group of adults looking to relax at the seashore. I am a fourth generation Maine vacationer and have vacationed in this town since I was a toddler. The cottage is just steps from the beach which means no searching for public parking or having to use public restrooms. We don't even pack a cooler anymore; when we get hungry we just walk back to the house for sandwiches and snacks. The property is well maintained by the owner and her family. The cottage has a full kitchen for anyone wishing to prepare their own meals instead of eating at restaurants. It is also now equipped with Wi-Fi! The cottage is located near some of the best fresh seafood (Ken's Place, Bayley's Lobster Pound). You can picnic along the rocky coast and walk coastline trails at Two Lights National Park. There are many lighthouses, like Portland Head Light, within a short drive. You can see a life-sized chocolate moose at Len Libby chocolatiers or tour the Desert of Maine, the world's northern most desert. You can also explore the nearby salt water marsh on foot and bicycle paths or via canoe."
