  • a wonderful weekend on Great Diamond Island!

"Six of us stayed at this cozy home in Diamond Cove on Great Dismond Island. Our host greeted us at the ferry and showed us around the house! We received a helpful packet of information from our host a month before our arrival. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front and back porch in the morning and evening. We swam at the lovely pool and went for walks all around the island! I would recommend this house and Great Diamond Island for a relaxing vacation! Patricia"

  • The perfect home to relax and spend time with family and friends in a beautiful vacation setting.

"My husband and I stayed at this lovely cottage with our grown daughters for a week in August 2016, It was clean, well appointed, with everything you need to be comfortable and equipped for a summer vacation. Nicely decorated, a great blend of old and new, and spacious enough not to feel crowded. We cooked, grilled, hiked, played tennis, and used the beautiful pool. The island is a great place to explore, especially the beaches and cliffs. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the two porches, front and back. Don't feel like cooking? You can go to the hotel restaurant, the general store, or Diamond's Edge. Or take the ferry to Portland and try the great restaurants there. We rented from a great couple. They were gracious and easy to deal with. We are looking forward to coming back to our home away from home. Thanks for everything."

  • Dreamy New England Island Retreat

"The Woodbury Cottage couldn't have been more idyllic and relaxing. Visiting Maine during peak fall foliage has been a bucket list item for us, and I decided to surprise my husband with this mini vaca to celebrate our 15-year wedding anniversary. So glad I did! This home is a true gem and a must-do if you're visiting Portland. It's on an island (let me say that's on an island!), oozing with New England charm, impeccably decorated, and just a short ferry ride to the mainland. During our stay, the island was extremely quiet and peaceful since most things shut down by Columbus Day, but we welcomed that. We love the crisp, cool weather, and welcomed the chance to unplug. Although relaxed, this stay most definitely packed in the adventure. Everything was a first for us...first stay on an island, first ferry ride, first water taxi, first lobster boil...and we'll never forget it. Every convenience had been thought of, and Jason (owner/manager) was so accommodating and helpful! He took the time to provide recommendations to try during our stay, including fresh lobster from a local fisherman and having groceries delivered by ferry. All necessary amenities were provided along with the basic pantry items for cooking. When we return, we plan to go just before Columbus Day to take advantage of more shops and activities in Portland, but we were thrilled with our stay. The locals on Great Diamond Island were extremely kind and welcoming, and we just can't wait to go back. Best. Trip. Ever."

  • Vacation

"We had a wonderful time on Great Diamond Island. Once we walked into the house we felt at home. Everything was there that we needed. Water was to cold for swimming the beach is a 1 minute walk from the house. We can't wait to go back next year and use the kayaks. People were extremely nice on the island. I went running several times which was a great way to explore see both sides of the island. The house is a 5-10 minute walk from the ferry. Going to and from Portland was easy you just have to plan your day around the ferry schedule. The owner was available to answer questions. Basically we can't wait to go back next September."
