  • A Gracious Hostess and A Spectacular view of Pott's Harbor

"After following Rte. 123 to the very end plus a very picturesque half a mile of dirt road we were greeted by the owner, Margaret. Following a brief orientation, we were shown to our unit,. directly facing Potts Harbor and looking across the bay to our favorite seafood restaurant, Erica's. A small porch, adjacent to the front door, provided a sheltered area for reading and snacking. Another sitting area at a seawall just below a garden provided another sitting/reading area and an expansive view of the harbor and fishing fleet. The unit was comfortably furnished with separate bedroom, living room, dining room, bathroom, & kitchen; all completely equipped. There is much to see and do with reasonable drive times. We will certainly return to this ideal vacation spot."

  • A little paradise

"We spent ten days at Birch Point at the end of May with our three kids (all below 4 years old). The property turned out even better than on the pictures, making it an ideal retreat for families with young children; it's very well equipped, incredibly clean and well thought. Most of all, the view is breathtaking. Jon Leaver was always super helpful and diligent in answering all our questions. Overall, this was an ideal stay. We definitely recommend this property for vacations outside of the world ... we came back to NYC fully rejuvenated!"

  • Wonderful Week!

"From the time we walked in the door this house felt comfortable. It was so roomy and airy - with lots of windows. There was usually a nice breeze, but when there wasn't there were plenty of fans to move air around and we never felt hot. The beds very very comfortable, as was the sofa in the TV room. Having internet and cable was a great plus. The kitchen was large enough for all 3 of us to be working in it. Dover St. is a real gem since there are several locals on this street. The street was shorter than we expected, making the walk to the beach quick. Parking was easy with plentiful room for our two cars. The nice side yard was great for sitting outside to eat lunch or for just relaxing. There is a little store/deli steps down the street for necessities and delicious scones and breakfast sandwiches, and there is a lobsterman living across the street who sold us delicious lobsters that he cooked for us to pick up when we wanted them! How perfect! I think the only drawback was the small bathroom, but we made do. Vicky, the owner, was so very pleasant and helpful which we appreciated. We actually hated to leave at the end of the week. I would have loved to come back here next year for 3 weeks (one is just not enough for me), but cannot leave my shih tzu for that long so I will have to find a place that will allow a small dog.:("

  • Wonderful Location, welcoming host and very clean.

"The ease of access/parking and the comforts of home with hosts that took care of our shoveling, it was a treat. We have already recommended it to family and friends. We Loved that we were near many State Parks and coastal beaches. Location made It an easy jaunt into Portland."
