  • Absolutely Wonderful Coastal Maine Cabin in the Woods

"Our family fell in love with this rather spacious cabin in the beautiful coastal woods of Rockport. It is the perfect central location to see the best of Maine's coastal region highlights. In our week we were able to visit Bar Harbor, hike the trails of Acadia National Park, enjoy the sites and history of Searsport, Lincolnville, Camden and Rockport, combed the beaches in Owl's Head, experienced the Old Pier and Atlantic Ocean at Old Orchard Beach and shopped the L.L. Bean in Freeport. This cabin provided us everything needed to make our first exploration of Maine wonderful. It's amazing charm had us begging to make it our own! I've never been more disappointed to see a vacation end. Hopefully, we will find ourselves here again next year....for two weeks!"

  • Fabulous Cottage in a great location

"My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and babymoon here, and enjoyed the cottage tremendously. The view from the back deck just makes you want to sit back and relax. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the lake due to the fact it was a bit cold that week. But would certainly return at a different time to this wonderful cottage to do so. The owners were right next door and greeted us when we arrived and answered any questions we had. Which was a great way to start our vacation. The kitchen was awesome and used daily, we even got a chance to boil up our own lobsters for dinner and had all the kitchen equipment needed. The cottage was near some great quaint towns that we explored and got a couple day trips in to Portland and our all time favorite Bar Harbor to see the Acadia National park. Some restaurants that we enjoyed were Red Eats, Moodys Diner, Hartstone Inn (for an amazing fancy meal), and Metcalf sub shop. All were great. Anyways I could keep going on how great this cottage and little city is but I'm sure you've gotten the point. Definitely check out this cottage for the price and location. We plan to return again. Thank your Daryll and Vicki for giving us the opportunity to enjoy your lovely cottage. The O'Conners"

  • A Precious Five Days

"My friends and I enjoyed a two week odyssey which began in Bristol, Vermont; continued to the Appalacian Trail in Baxter State Park ; included 5 days in the Irish Primrose; a day in Connecticut; and 3 days in New York City. My only complaint about the Primrose is that we simply did not spend enough time in it. The owners were so very pleasant and helpful . The Mrs. had tastefully decorated the rooms; everything was clean; there was an abundance of kitchen / bath provisions,; we lacked for nothing. We particularly enjoyed watching the sun rise and set on our little picturesque cove. I will be calling the Gilmores on my next trip to Maine. Charlene Bailey"

  • Perfect Maine

"We had the perfect vacation in June. My husband and I were looking for privacy, ocean front with unobstructed views, a modern comfortable home, and the ability to bring our dog. We were able to rest and relax, then go off and explore the areas such as Port Clyde, Rockland, and Camden. We saw lots of wildlife including the seal that liked to hang out near the cottage and watched the lobster boats every day. It was truly a perfect place to vacation. The photos tell it like it is. Great stay!"
