  • A great taste of Maine

"This home was a wonderful setting for our family gathering of 8 people. We cooked lots of blueberry pancakes in the brand new well stocked kitchen and grilled many dinners outside on the deck. Evenings were spent playing games around the generously sized dining room table. Our 8 and 10 year old grandchildren had fun fishing ( we only caught crabs) from the dock, but really loved Popham Beach State Park, 20 minutes away. The location was a perfect launching point for day trips to the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden in Boothbay, LLBean in Freeport and our son's favorite brewery in Portland. Our CA daughter- in- law got her fill of lobster at various local restaurants and we found a Bait and Tackle shop on 209 that had the best homemade pies. It was a wonderful week in a very comfortable home."

  • Women's Retreat

"This vacation home has a great view of the water. It would be nice if there were two full size beds instead of twin beds in the third bedroom upstairs. That would make it more compatible for different types of guests staying at the property."

  • Wonderful Family Vacation

"This was the perfect house and the perfect location for us! My husband and I traveled with our 4 boys aged 18-24yrs ( And our dog!) and no one was disappointed!! The yard was oversized, fenced and treed for lawn games, shade and privacy and included a fire pit, barbecue grill and relaxing hammock. There were tennis and basketball courts within a 5 min walk and even a volleyball court on a nearby beach. The owners were very accommodating , warm and friendly and went out of their way to inform us about the island and places to be sure to see. There were 4 bicycles available for our use and boy did they get used!! There was so many beautiful places to explore! The inside of the house was so cozy and filled with everything we could need. Cooking utensils, lobster pot and dishes, games, books, comfortable beds even a washer and dryer. I was initially apprehensive about the ferry and bringing over all of our groceries and suitcases but it was so easy and convenient. We highly recommend this home for a family looking to balance activity with relaxation!"

  • Excellent Maine Getaway....

"Awesome home located on a really cool island . The house has "everything"....including a professional chef kitchen. Beautiful view of the water and Cook's Lobster house, and another great restaurant within walking distance. We ate lobster 6 out of 7 nights (you can cook them at the house!). The decor and amenities of the house is superb. The island is really quaint, and the people superb as well. Beautiful scenery every day close enough tosee Portland and other areas. House was in great shape. Brett was super, but we never needed anything. It was all there!!"
