  • Great Cottage

"We stayed here for one week and I think is was great. It had everything you would need for a stay. It is close to everything, walking within minutes to the beaches or a very short drive to everything else. Just a great place to stay."

  • Great location and wonderful ocean views

"This is a great location, just south of Ogunquit and near the Ogunquit Playhouse. It has wonderful ocean views and is very private. Although one foggy morning, we did find 10 wild turkeys visiting in the back lawn. They entertained us for an hour or so until the fog lifted. The house is exactly as depicted and everything was in working order. The property manager and owner were great to work with. My wife and I spent three weeks at this wonderful property."

  • Million dollar view

"Enjoyed ocean and lighthouse view daily from windows. Steps were a bit steep but on the whole very nice well kept unit. Little things added made it an easy stay. Well equipped plus great " out on decks " views. Watched sunrise from bed, fun! Great area for good eating! Maine coastline was amazing!"

  • Just Wonderful

"This is a very special property. Many houses in the York area are waterfront and have lovely ocean views, but I doubt that more than a few match the view here. The house is literally feet from the descending rocky shore (with a low stone wall as the boundary), and the view is wide open (and I do mean completely and wonderfully wide open). I have done a lot of overnight sailing, and this is the only house I have rented that gave the same feeling of total open space with twinkling stars by night, and curved shoreline miles away in each direction by day. To your right is a long view of the Cape Neddick (Nubble) Lighthouse. Straight out you can just make out Boon Island Light, the tallest lighthouse in New England. To the left is the beautiful curving shore of York, Ogunquit, and beyond (with the huge Cliff House Resort visible several miles away). The house itself captures the ocean view from every room except the twin bedroom and kitchen which instead face a very large beautiful year-round garden. In addition to those two rooms, the first floor includes a queen bedroom and a very large open family room with a small adjoining sun porch enclosed by floor to ceiling sliding glass doors and screens. The entire second floor is a fabulous master suite with a balcony the width of the house. This home is light and cheerful throughout, decorated with modern comfortable furniture, large paintings, and many lovely objects from the owner's travels. The outdoor patio has two lounge chairs and an umbrella table with chairs for dining. I was there in August, but for winter vacations, there is a gas fireplace in the family room. The kitchen is extremely well supplied, and there are two ensuite bathrooms, one full bath outside the twin bedroom, and a half bath off the sunporch. I did not want to use an outdoor grill, but if that is important to you, check with the owner to see if there is one available on the premises. The hosts, Kari and Rene, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. This is a fabulous property, and I could not recommend it more highly."
