  • Seabiscuit

"My Husband and I recently spent a long weekend at Seabiscuit. We are so thrilled to write this review because it is just the best place on earth to get away to. Large beautifully decorated rooms with high ceilings and views from every window. Just a short walk to Ocean Avenue, St Ann's Church(this weekend we were at the service with the Bush Family) The Colony where you can have cocktails and dinner and of course town is also within walking distance. No need to drive much from Seabiscuit's location. The home has everything you need. The sense of serenity in each room as the décor is the most beautiful we have ever been in. Sitting out on the deck with views of the ocean is a place you won't want to leave. Magnificent is the word we believe describes the patio with large comfortable furniture. We are planning on bringing our family in the fall for a birthday celebration. We can all stay together here and the beds and linens are luxurious as it is immaculate. We love Seabiscut and the owners are so very accommodating. S and C"

  • Beautiful family house in Kennebunkport

"We were delighted to stay at this charming house with our extended family in July. The kitchen is well-stocked with any appliance, plate, or glass that you might need. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were nicely done. If I had known how many kids books and movies were there, we wouldn't have brought any toys! My daughter loved all the books. It's a short walk to Mabel's Lobster Claw, Port Lobster, kayak rentals at the Nonantum, and more. We had a blast. It was very spacious for 5 adults and 2 kids. Hope to be back!"

  • What a fabulous getaway to Kennebunkport area!

"Beautiful vacation home, kept well, clean and missing nothing. Our family of four had plenty room to have our own space. Plenty of towels, linens, stocked kitchen and comfy seating throughout. The owners and property manager had great communication and we really did not need to contact them for much...which was nice. The binder they have in the kitchen is great full of local recommendations for just about anything...restuarants, entertainment, shopping & groceries. Perfectly located in the coastal Maine the main tourist path in Kennebunkport to stay out of traffic but still within a mile of the ocean. Nice outdoor area to enjoy a fire pit at night and we used the grill a couple times to cook some of the local fresh catch. We can't stop thinking about our trip...even our teenage boys just wanted a couple days to hang out at the house because they were so comfortable "just chillin' " as they would say. We have already passed off the contact info to some of our friends here in Indiana as there was a lot of interest for people that usually on go south to the gulf or east to the mountains. We will likely return to coastal Maine again in the future for vacation and recommend this property to anyone. We kept our dogs at home but this is a pet friendly home...there are even dog toys."

  • Best R & R Ever!

"We stayed at lovely Chickadee after our daughter's Kennebunkport wedding to further celebrate with our family as well as rest after all the excitement of the big wedding.. It proved to be the perfect place to do both. First of all the setting is idylic. We walked all around Cape Porpoise and enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the crowds of Kennebunkport. We walked to great restaurants, picked up a few groceries and terrific wine from the local grocery store - we hardly ever got into our cars. And the opening of the new store Farm & Table across the street is definitely worth a visit. Everything was so convenient. What we loved best about Chickadee was the beds! Deborah, the owner, provides you with a great night's sleep with high quality bedding, sheets and towels. With all six bedrooms filled we all awoke each morning raving about how well we slept! And coffee on the two screened porches was so lovely. Everyone wished we could have stayed another week and we are already talking about gathering there again as a family next year. Plenty of room, comfortable high quality furniture and a setting to melt your stresses away. You will love every moment of your stay!"
