  • Nice studio unit close to the beach.

"If you're looking for a nice place to stay for 1 or 2 people close to the beach, this is the place. It's close to the strip where all the retailers and eateries are, but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Scott is a great host."

  • Very nice, just like the pictures, no surprises.

"Liked having the washer/dryer, full size kitchen. Nice central area for day trips from Portland, Me to Boston, MA. Could have used more fans, or AC. It was pretty warm on hot days, (above 90 a few times.)"

  • Private, Quiet Maine Vacation

"Coming to Maine, my husband and I were lured there by the thought of temps in the 70s with ocean breezes, lobster rolls and a quaint town. All of this happened except for the temps. The weather was horridly hot which caused us to spend most of our time in our apartment. Here is what we found: A clean and bright apartment consisting of five rooms and a balcony. The apartment has private entrance and exit, which affords TONS of privacy. The balcony was perfect size which afforded us an OUTSTANDING view of the US Navy Shipyard and all of their happenings. The grounds have gorgeous gardens. There was also an arrangement waiting for us when we arrived as a welcome. The kitchen is very airy and bright and ideal for food prep. We were very thankful to find AC for the Kitchen and for the Master Bedroom alone. It was much needed during the hot days. There is also WiFi available for the kitchen area. Having a car is crucial. We thought we could do without one...but Kittery does not have a grocers (for the essentials) Close by is a farmstand. Ned was so kind to lend us his car and one of the days we took him up on that. As far as food goes we enjoyed ALL of the following that are ALL within a short block of the apartment: Rudders Public House: Continental-Gastropub Lil's Cafe: Organic baked goods, sandwiches, coffee. Maine Squeeze: Juices and smoothies. AJ's Wood Fire Pizza: Thinnish pies with great flavor combos and salads. Each of these we visited multiple times. The decor is a few steps up from the imagined "harbor-unfinished-chic." Ned and Shannon thought of everything. They even let us tag along for lunch with friends traveling by their boat. The one thing I will take away is the quiet solitude and the bedroom community enclaviness of Kittery."

  • So relaxing - perfect getaway!

"We recently stayed at this gorgeous spot for one of the most relaxing long weekends we've both had in a very long time. The house was perfect - we loved taking the boat in and out for lunches and dinners. It was so nice to come back to a quiet spot so we really could get away from it all. The restaurants in Kittery were unbelievable - we were both blown away as we had intended to experience the food scene in Portsmouth. Jim and Tudor were so kind to answer all of our questions as we were preparing for our trip. They even secured a boat for us to enjoy some lazy day cruising, too, which was the highlight of the trip for me. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, then look no further. This spot is incredible!"
