  • Walk everywhere!

"This is a lovely cottage right in the right of downtown Ogunquit where the most enjoyable thing about our stay here was that we never had to use our car as we walked everywhere in town from the beach to Perkins Cove to all the shops and restaurants has to offer. We look forward to our next stay at this great location at a great price."

  • Great comfortable value, prime location

"My family of two adults and two kids, ages 4 and 6, stayed here for a long weekend to attend a friend's wedding in Kennebunkport. The cottage was just as advertised, and there is also a great kids' play area - sand pit and play structure, as well as basketball hoop - in the central area. There is also a picnic table out back by the stream that we ate most meals at; breakfasts though were out front in the adirondacks in the bright sun. The location was excellent, with Parsons beach just down the road - like others, we drove instead of walked simply because we had kids (and when we were there, parking was fine) but the walk looked quite reasonable and goes along a very pretty tree-lined street alongside a horse farm. Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are very close indeed, and this was the best price we found for this area and had everything we needed. What was not clear from the property description and pics is that this is part of a group of vacation rental cottages - most now individually owned as condos, but still rented via a central house/office. That meant that - although less private - when we faced an issue - from needing an iron, to facing a clogged toilet (and no plunger) - there was on-site help available. It also meant the great play area was there for the kids to delight in. The road noise from Route 9 can be appreciable - the cottages are really right next to the road - but there's also a sweet stream out back and the frogs' chorus was beautiful, as was the morning birdsong. The kitchen is small but it's a cottage so that goes with the territory - and the nearby towns have an *abundance* of restaurants to complement your home cooking. All in all, great value, comfortable beds, great location. We would come here again."

  • Best Summer Vacation!

"We originally inquired about this property but this particular cottage was already booked for the summer of 2015. So Leslie told us about Echo Cottage # 2, which was exactly what we wanted. Oceanfront property with plenty of room for our two families and close enough to the Pier/Downtown area. The pictures were beautiful but seeing it in person was even better. Although it was a rainy, cloudy day when we arrived.. the views from the decks were amazing! Just arriving at the ocean at such a clean, beautiful property we were all so excited! We enjoyed our week here and still cant stop talking about our fantastic week! We are hoping we get to come back in 2016!"

  • Bright and large cottage

"We enjoyed our stay, cottage is clean and is well located at short walking distance from the Beach. Everything you need is there, kitchen is well equipped, large bedrooms, tones of seatings, Wifi works well, and large TV channel selections, kids were very happy. We enjoyed the pool and tennis court as well. Ready to rent it anytime. Just a couple of things; BBQ tank was emptied as mentioned in the rental listing, however we bought one and leave it almost full, ready for the next rental. I believe there should be a couple of other things included, things that last more than your week lease. Cheers, Stephane's familly from Montreal"
