  • Everyone loved it!

"We had the pleasure of staying in this house at the beginning of September: 10 people ranging from 15 to their 50’s. Our stay was fabulous and, if fact, if we can coordinate everyone, we would try to repeat next year. The house itself is beautiful, welcoming and very comfortable. The common rooms are wonderful: Ocean views as you cook, eat, or just talk in the kitchen, in the dining room and main living room (and, also, ocean views from the side verandah which was a favorite for many of us). You can tell this house has been built by owners who wanted to appreciate the environment and get maximum enjoyment from the outside while inside with family and friends. It’s also well designed so that there is plenty of space if anyone wants some quiet time. (We did, on arrival, meet the owner, Nate, who happened to be in Maine and also the person who looks after the house, Peter. Both were extremly friendly, helpful, and easy to relate to. We saw Peter again, only on departure, and, again, he was realy pleasant and friendly.) All the bedrooms were nice, those facing the ocean are, of course, very, very nice. In these, you have the joy of hearing the waves as you fall asleep if you so wish, or closing the doors to good insulation (we chose to hear the waves :). Of course, the house’s immediate surroundings, with Sea Point Beach steps away, was great! We had brought boogie boards and skim boards or just relaxed on the beach. We also had our own bikes and explored some of the nearby region (since the roads can be narrow, some of us stayed in the immediate region but others ventured by bike up to Old Orchard and to Portsmouth). We had never been to the most southern part of Maine and the area was a wonderful surprise. It’s charming. We did one small hike but, with more time, there were lots of others we would have done. All of us thought that there were other activities we would have loved to do… So, as mentioned, if we can coordinate a repeat visit… we will!"

  • Family fun

"We have just returned from our week at Turbat's Creek and we all had a wonderful time! The house more than met our needs for bedroom and bathrooms. Large dining table for all 8 of us. Large kitchen for our family group cooking. Beautiful deck for cocktails. Fire pit out back for out s'mores events. The location was great! The kids ( of all ages) loved the location on Turbat's Creek. From high tide to low and in between the was something to wonder at, explore and enjoy. Kennebunkport is a great town to be based at for trips to Portland (The Well at Jordan's Farm for fantastic food actually at a farm) to Gooseneck Beach to the Langsford Road lobster and fish store at Cape Porpoise for the freshest fish I have ever had! One warning.... part of the house has low ceilings which was a bit of a challenge for those over 6'. All in all a great family vacation."
