  • Exactly what our family needed!

"Our family of four (plus our dog) stayed here for the first week of July 2016. It was a perfect break for our middle schooler and high schooler just after school let out in NYC. The cabin was just as it is described and pictured - rustic and comfortable. The property is spectacular! We explored both rivers in the kayak and canoe. We paddled, fished, swam and hiked every day. The fire pit is situated perfectly and allowed us to cook dinner over the open fire every night. We could not have had better weather - 80s every day and 50s every night. The dark sky allowed for excellent star-gazing, too. We took quick day trips to Mt Washington, the Maine coast and some amazing antique stores nearby. There are plenty of things to do all around, but the property itself was the real highlight for our whole family. We would definitely choose to stay here again!"

  • Very unique Vacation rental

"Rented this property for my family to attend my sons wedding in the area. We rented the bunk house along with the main house. It also has a detached building with pool table, ping pong and foosball. The property is rustic but clean and well equipped. There main house can sleep 10 in beds and has one bathroom. The bunkhouse sleeps 8 in beds and has one bathroom. The owner Ron is very attentive and was always working on the property nearby. I gave it 4 stars only because of the road into the home. It is about a mile long rough, bumpy, rocky road. My niece actually left her Misubishi Eclipse out at the end fearing it would bottom out. All and all a great weekend."

  • The property was beautiful, and well maintained.

"The pictures online do not do the property justice. The home was beautiful inside and the front screened in porch was a nice place to sit and relax. The location was great, even though you were close to amenities like a small grocery store, laundry mat and even a library, the property itself felt like your piece of relaxation and privacy. The property was well maintained and clean. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the evening, having coffee in the little sitting area and listening to the water cascade in the mornings. Also the church bells and the hymns every morning and evening were wonderful. The coast is only an hour away and major shopping stores in Windham were only 30 minutes. My two sons and their wives took the canoe and kayaks that are available out on the river, although the river was low during our stay, they still had a good time. The owners were helpful, and answered our calls promptly and kept us informed. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back there real soon!"
