  • great location with plenty of room for the entire family

"This home is wonderfully situated within walking distance of the beach and the village, within a short drive to Nubble lighthouse and the Kittery outlets and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. We had glorious weather so plenty of time spent outdoors. The beds are comfortable, house was clean, kitchen equipped well enough for any type meal, and the ability to do laundry and/or to clean up after young children was a plus! The children enjoyed playing on the rocks in the yard (including setting out the Barbie dolls on the rocks during pretend play). True to the description, this lovely neighborhood is very quiet. Open the windows at night and listen to the waves as they lull you into restful sleep."

  • Exactly what our family needed!

"Our family of four (plus our dog) stayed here for the first week of July 2016. It was a perfect break for our middle schooler and high schooler just after school let out in NYC. The cabin was just as it is described and pictured - rustic and comfortable. The property is spectacular! We explored both rivers in the kayak and canoe. We paddled, fished, swam and hiked every day. The fire pit is situated perfectly and allowed us to cook dinner over the open fire every night. We could not have had better weather - 80s every day and 50s every night. The dark sky allowed for excellent star-gazing, too. We took quick day trips to Mt Washington, the Maine coast and some amazing antique stores nearby. There are plenty of things to do all around, but the property itself was the real highlight for our whole family. We would definitely choose to stay here again!"

  • Wonderful, peaceful and serene!

"I LOVED the Blue Pearl Cottage and would definitely stay there again!! It was exactly as described in the listing and Sharon supplied everything we could ever possibly need to accommodate our stay including a very sweet welcome package that provided us with a travel mug and some laundry detergent as well as a mini-cooler lunch container. The view alone every morning looking out at the ocean was the best part, and being in easy walking distance of the local beach was perfect. The window seat was the BEST!!!! Everything was clean, there were directions on the fridge for everything and there were pamphlets for local attractions and contact numbers readily available. Sharon and her husband were ready with the few quick questions I had; they were very responsive. I cannot say how much I love the village of Camp Ellis. It was my second year staying there and I just adore it! I plan to come back every year! The only drawback I found was the bunk bed. If you have kids it is perfect. I was staying there with my friend and her husband and was hoping maybe to have another friend come down for a few days, but once I saw the bunk bed I realized that top bunk is really not intended for adults. So that was really the only thing that could have made it a little better would be maybe a trundle bed or 2 twin beds, but there's very little room on the top bunk for a regular adult. But it really looks like it is mostly set up for kids anyway. Overall it was a great week, a great location and a very relaxing time and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great, relaxing cottage at the beach. Thanks so much, Amy V. NH"

  • Beautiful home, minutes to the beach, highly recommended!

"We rented this home with a group of couples this past Labor Day weekend. Each Labor Day we all gather in Biddeford Pool, ME and I can tell you that this was by far the best weekend we have had up there. The Property Manager was a nice touch, I liked being shown around the house and was able to ask any questions we had upon arrival. The home is in immaculate condition. We did use both the house and apartment, and both were equipped with everything you would need. The kitchens are beautifully finished, and have big windows looking onto the back deck and yard. The house kitchen has a large dining table which sat 8 comfortably. The family room was very cozy, with a nice big screen TV equipped with Bluetooth soundbar. The yard was a perfect size to play yard games and throw a ball for our dog. Each bedroom was nicely decorated, with very comfortable beds. Bathrooms are all renovated and had plenty of towels. The neighborhood really makes you feel like you are in a quiet little ocean down, not over run by tourists. Only a few cars pass each day, making it safe for kids and dogs to play. Only a short walk away is a little general store where we were able to satisfy our lobster craving! The beach is literally a 2 minute walk from the back deck, and is a breath taking beach. It was easy to find a spot to sit any time of the day. The beach was very dog friendly making for special memories with our dog and friends. One of my favorite parts was being able to sit on the back deck in the evening and listening to the wave’s crash, or even talking the short walk to the beach to smell the ocean air and star gaze. The owner was always very easy to get ahold of during the booking process and one of the friendliest home owners we have dealt with on this site. I highly recommend this home for families, large groups or anyone looking to have the perfect Maine getaway. We will certainly consider renting this home again in the future."
