  • Great Xmas Prelude

"Clean throughout. Perfect for children and all that are young at heart. Good location - close to the beach, close to the village. We enjoyed being near the village of Kennebunkport and the Christmas Prelude events. Our grandchildren spent some time with us and our dog. Although it was cold outside, we had no problem staying warm inside. The children loved the twin beds and played with one of the Wii games."

  • A Beautiful Retreat

"We needed a short term stay for our family in the middle of a move -- between closing on a house we were selling and closing on our new home -- and this property was perfect. Like all moves, ours was hectic with packing, making last minute arrangements and putting an entire household in storage. When we arrived at the cottage, we were exhausted. Our spirits were immediately lifted as we settled in and fell into the beds. The layout and arrangement was perfect for us (three adults and two dogs) and everything was easy to find and readily available. The next morning, we were up and walking the dogs on the beach -- less than a half block away -- and enjoying the morning sunrise. Even though our circumstances were not ideal -- this was hardly a vacation -- this cottage and the surroundings were perfectly restorative. We settled into a domestic routine with the well equipped kitchen and available laundry facilities, could return to our jobs without disruption and enjoyed a few days of peace and quiet before the second half of our move -- from storage to our new home. We had visited Old Orchard Beach many times in the summer, but this brief stay in the late fall was eye-opening. The town was peaceful, the beach was beautiful and nearly deserted and there were quality restaurants still open in the area. The property was carefully maintained, the owners were very responsive and took a real interest in making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. This 10 day stop over was more cost effective and practical than staying over in a motel or extended day suite, and much more homey and relaxing. In fact it made what would have otherwise been a stressful move into a "mini-vacation"and we left refreshed and ready for the challenges of the next phase of the move and our arrival at our new home. Luckily for us -- our new permanent location is only 15 minutes away from Old Orchard Beach -- and now we know the wonders of visiting in the off-season. We would recommend this property -- at any time -- summer or off-season. It was a beautiful retreat for us and turned out to be a refreshing "vacation" in the midst of a very hectic time."

  • Perfect place to stay and enjoy Maine

"My husband and I stayed in October to celebrate our anniversary. It was the perfect retreat. So peaceful to wake up surround by water and sun listening to the call of loons. I recommend this to everyone who wants to relax and drink in the sights of a beautiful lake with close access to small town charm. The renter left such good recommendations for other things to do in the area that we were never bored or in need of anything. Great stay!"
