  • Great location, neighborhood and apartment.

"We stayed for a week in March. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Kitchen cabinets, counter top and appliances all looked new. We made a full breakfast everyday and had everything we needed. There's a very small grocery store two blocks west and one block south (about 8 minute walk), but it had everything we needed. Neighborhood is quiet. It takes about 12-15 minutes to walk to the supreme court or the capitol building. Our room was the bottom floor of what looked like a three story building. The upper floors are rented out as well, but we never heard them. All renters use the front foyer to enter. We had the entire first floor (without the foyer and stairs of course) and it was roomy enough for five of us (2 adults and three girls aged 18, 16, 12). My estimate is that it's about 1000-1250 square feet. The property manager was very accommodating, patient and helpful. This was our first time to rent a home for vacation and we are very impressed."

  • Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. Plumbing and heating issues made us give it 4 stars.

"The property lived up to its billing as a "party place". With two teen agers there and a few friends stopping by it worked very well for a family gathering. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen facilities acceptable. It is located right in the heart of "The Hill" - with dozens of great restaurants within a few minute walk. There were two negative points. 1) The heating control was erratic. It was cold when we came in the afternoon and didn't heat up until the middle of the first night. The furnace was difficult to control but was generally adequate after the first day. With the Nest thermostat we would have expected the room to be warm at check in time. 2) We knew there was only one bathroom for eight people but were dissapointed in the plumbing. It was a closet sized bathroom and the toilet and sink are well-past their life time. All in all we enjoyed our stay in a unique property with games and other amenities not found in many places."

  • Owners very helpful

"There were some complication so we were not able to stay at the original place we booked. However, Dana and Charles were very helpful and made sure we had an awesome place to stay and our trip was perfect."

  • Beautiful flat in a great location

"The flat was clean and beautifully maintained. The owner was responsive and helpful when we had a few glitches with the air conditioning. The rest of the building is also lovely and clean and, had we used it, there was parking across the street. We loved the neighborhood and, to say we were so close to Connecticut, the unit was very quiet."
