  • Attractive Condo near Reston restaurants and shops and covenient to DC Metro

"Attractive building and condo unit with two bedrooms and a large sofa bed in the living area. One smallish bathroom. Well-equipped for short or longer stays. We stayed for 3 nights. Free parking right outside the door and nearby bus stops and Metro five minutes away are a major plus. The drive to shops and excellent restaurants in Reston Town Center was quick and straightforward, though they have recently instituted paid parking for that area. Would return."

  • Very nice home

"Three 50-something girlfriends met and stayed at the Collector's House for the weekend of the Holiday House Tour in downtown Frederick in early December. It was a perfect place for us to spend the weekend. It was close enough to walk to downtown (what a lovely city!) and there were several nice local restaurants as well. The home offered plenty of room to each have our own space and then convene over coffee in the morning in the dining room and hang out in the living room in the evenings. It has a very nice front porch for the warmer weather. The home was clean and Nancy made it very welcoming even stocking the home with wine, beer and soda for purchase which was a nice convenience."

  • Hidden from the busy time that we live in

"My daughter in law found this wonderful cottage on a REAL working farm for Presidents' Day weekend. We live only one hour away and we thrilled to drive up the driveway to see sheep and llama right up at the fence. Really...only one hour away from the hustle and bustle to a perfect oasis. The pictures of the Shepherd's Cottage are wonderful and when you walk in, you feel like you are going back in a time of easy living. Ample room inside for the grandparents, parents and two children with outside areas to explore as well. The back deck with a grill was perfect for our evening meals and the front porch was perfect to watch the grandchildren running around, looking at the sheep, playing at the hay bale, not having to worry about them. Lots of things to explore on the farm with leisurely walks through the farm walking through the vineyard, pond area, and more. We even had the excitement of watching the deer running through the field as we were relaxing at the top of the vineyard. Breakfast items had been loving placed there for us to enjoy which was greatly appreciated. Luxurious bed and bath items for us to enjoy as well! We will be back! Even though we went in February and everything was brown from winter, our stay was a treasure and a welcoming place to be. Seeing the vineyard in full growth and everything bring green will be exciting to see as well. Yes, a treasure of a place to stay at."

  • Great home away from home

"My husband and I rented this cottage for 3 months and it was perfect for our needs. It was spacious and had everything we needed kitchen, laundry, etc. It was very comfortable and relaxing. Our granddaughter loved the horse, Doc. We enjoyed our stay very much. It is also very convenient to many places. The owner was very nice and helpful. We highly recommend this cottage."
