  • COMFORTABLE, CONVIENT AND CLEAN

"Our family of nine adults meet at this home for a Christmas 2016 gathering. The first thing we found is that Pat, the owner is most accommodating, helpful and easy to communicate with. She made our scheduling , arrival and departure times very convient. The home is easy walking distancec to downtown and has ample parking. The location is private and secure. The home is well stocked and very livable. The home made for a very enjoyable family Christmas celebration."

  • Warm Cozy Home within short walking distance of USNA & State Street

"My family consisting of four people spent 4 nights in this charming place. Our son plays football for Navy and we were in town for the Army Navy game. While the game didn't come out the way we hoped (that will change next year), it was nice to bring our son to a house and be able to relax. Including him, we had 5 people for 24 hours and had plenty of room. This was so much nicer than a hotel and its proximity to downtown and the USNA is awesome. As stated in many reviews, the house is exactly as depicted in the photos. The first floor is spacious with new kitchen appliances, a small fireplace/stove, and was decorated for Christmas. Very nice with room to spread out. There is also a half bath and the couch makes out into a bed. Upstairs, though older looking has two bedrooms with three beds. A queen in the master bedroom, and a double and single bed in the second bedroom. There is also a full bath/shower. Be aware if you are tall that the upstairs ceiling and door frames are low. At 6'3" i managed to only bang my head once. The owner furnishes parking passes but finding a parking space was very challenging. If possible, renting a smaller size vehicle would help. Since we had a lot of luggage we rented a Ford Explorer and were only able to park in front of the residence one night. There is a parking garage about a 10 minute walk away that charges $20 for overnight parking. This is where we had to park 3 of the 4 nights. Having said this, I think anyone who is familiar with the streets near downtown Annapolis would't be surprised this could happen. It is certainly not a deal breaker. Overall, I would highly recommend the house. As stated above, it so much nicer and accommodating for spending time together than a hotel. The owners were accessible and great to work with. Five Stars!!!"

  • Roomy and convenient

"This house was perfect for a college reunion of six families - 10 adults and 5 children (ages 5-8). It was was clean and spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to relax. The patio seating area in the fenced backyard gave a nice secluded feeling. And the basement area was a huge hit with the kids. Most importantly, the location was great! It was an easy commute to outdoor activities (kayaking), the metro station to DC, an awesome mall, the Annapolis harbor (including the Naval Academy), and tons of bars and restaurants. The one unanticipated aspect of this house was that it's not what we consider a traditional rental property, but rather the family's main residence. As such, there are a number of personal things around (pictures on walls, stocked pantry, etc.). While we didn't anticipate this, it did not impact us. The house has a wonderful, comfortable feel and is an easy place to relax. The owner was very responsive to questions both before and after the booking. A few weeks before we arrived the owner did contact us to let us know that the development pool was no longer available to renters. This was a little disappointing since it was VERY hot when we were there, but this is not a deal breaker. It's a great house and we would definitely rent again!"

  • Better than Advertised!!

"We only live about 6 miles away from Annapolis, but we wanted to "get away" for a long weekend to enjoy being tourists in our own beautiful little town. This is a FANTASTIC place to stay in Downtown Annapolis. Conveniently located (very short walking distance to EVERYTHING, yet 1 block removed from the major commercial avenues to provide some peace and quiet), and beautifully maintained. As locals, we obviously know the area extremely well, so for all of you "out-of-towners" looking for some unbiased local guidance - here it is - STAY HERE!! If I'm not mistaken, this unit contains the only "bell tower" in Annapolis. So cool! The view of the state house is excellent, and the speakers from the main stereo system are wired right up to the quirkiest and most charming little "hang out lounge" you will find in the area. Vic is a true professional when it comes to maintaining the property. He is responsive (he only lives a few miles away) and very appreciative and considerate of his guests. I rent A LOT through VRBO (and I also provide rentals as a landlord), so when I write a review, I'm compelled to accurately portray properties. It can certainly be stressful "not knowing" exactly what you are getting yourself into on VRBO. Let me reassure anyone who is reading this that if all you need is a 2BR unit, save yourself some time, stop searching immediately, and pull the trigger on this place!! It has everything you need (completely updated with all of the modern amenities you'd expect), perfectly located, and truly unique. We will be back for sure!! Thanks for being such a wonderful host, Vic. It was a pleasure meeting you!!"
