  • Ideal end of summer getaway

"118 River Rd. is simply terrific. It's located perfectly in an idyllic community about a 10 minute drive outside of downtown Annapolis. The home is pristine in a lived-in kind of way. There is nothing sterile or "rental" about it. Walking in, one feels as though the homeowners have perhaps just stepped-out. The house is welcoming and warm. The in-ground swimming pool is plenty long for exercise, and deep enough for diving and hours of fun for all. The hot tub is added benefit-it get's pretty hot. The neighborhood is ideal for walking, jogging, bicycling-all passersby are friendly and unobtrusive. We would without hesitation consider another week, or two, at 118 in the future. Thank you Christine and Katie!!"

  • Perfect!

"This is one of the nicest apartments we've rented. Absolutely perfect location, walking distance to everything. It's a lovely house that's been restored with care. We are a family with four children: kids had the upstairs with their own bathroom, and we had the downstairs bedroom, plenty of room and privacy for everyone--this would also work out very well for two couples traveling together. Marlys was lovely, it was clear she has put a good deal of thought into what would make things easier for a traveler. There was soap and shampoo in the bathrooms, the kitchen was well-stocked with everything you might need (I bought eggs and then thought oh no, what will I cook them with? and then I discovered there was not only oil but also a stick of butter--perfect!), washing machine with detergent, dishwasher with soap--it was like being at home, IF our home were prettier and cleaner! And the garden is beautiful, I wish we had had more time to just sit and enjoy! So much nicer than staying in a hotel! When we come back to Annapolis, we will definitely try to stay here again!"

  • A great family home in a quiet location.

"We were a family group of seven: parents, children, partners and grandchild. Shane and Grey's house was perfect for our get together, with plenty of space, including an excellent finished basement where one of us could hang out with the two year old when he woke at 5am. We also took full advantage of the hot tub as soon as the baby was asleep. The neighborhood is quiet; the house is at the end of a cul de sac, overlooking a small creek. The walk downtown to the waterfront takes perhaps 30 minutes. One more important comment is how responsive and helpful Shane and Grey were to us. They asked if we wanted us to leave their Christmas decorations up, or not. They found us a crib for the baby; they posted the baby's forgotten slippers back to us. Recommended!"

  • Wonderful house!

"The owners were so considerate, even leaving new Finding Dori coloring books for our kids! The house is beautiful, is conveniently located, well stocked, and was just the perfect location to stay for the weekend. Best rental we have ever stayed in, and will definitely recommend to anyone in the future!"
