  • Lovely and warm. Feels like home.

"We had a lovely time here with family during Thanksgiving. We were greeted by the smell of cinnamon, the sound of jazz and a wonderful welcome gift. The beds and baths were comfortable and well-equipped. And the backyard grill and fireplace were ready for use. I loved the round dining room table with room for 10. The hosts were available via email with very quick turnaround. A lovely stay. Thanks!"

  • Perfect Wedding Weekend

"Our daughter got married at Matapeake Beach and we decided to rent a house opposed to a hotel room(s). Wow, what an awesome weekend!! The grooms family rented the house next door. Due to the spaciousness of the house (both houses) we were able to accommodate family members as well as the bridal party. The set up was perfect for the bridal party as there was a huge family room in the back of the house where the girls could hang out and sleep but not interrupt the sleep of others. Didn't hear a peep from them. We entertained all weekend long with the family having a central place to come and be together. Saturday we were able to really take advantage of the outdoor fun having a crab feast and playing volleyball and corn hole. When not playing volleyball the kids were able to use the court as their sand box. Some guests and their kids also enjoyed going across the street to utilize the beach area at the Tiki Bar behind Kentmoor. The sunsets were fabulous! Having coffee in the morning looking at the bay was the best start to our day. Very peaceful! My husband and I took a walk one morning and ended up spending time in the back of the Kentmoor looking at the bay and Bay Bridge all by ourselves as the restaurant wasn't open yet. Had fun talking about the excitement of the wedding that was happening that evening. I could get use to having that 24/7!! Wish I was there now. If the opportunity comes about again that brings us to Kent Island/Stevensville for a couple of days, no doubt, we would rent the K1 beach house again. Lots of memories made that weekend!"

  • Wonderful Family Vacation Spot on the Chesapeake Bay

"This was a fantastic setting for our extended family to gather for our milestone birthday celebration. It was the perfect spot to make memories and share lots of laughter during our stay. Location, location, location. We were able to enjoy an idyllic setting on the water yet it was only a short drive into town to enjoy shops, waterfront walkways, a beach and dining. Crabbing was so much fun for everyone, we had a crab feast every night as we sat on the deck overlooking the water and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. The house had a great layout which was important when you have lots of people staying with you. The two living areas came in handy for the little ones to play on one side while the adults hung out on the other. We have so many great pictures of relaxing in the hammocks and enjoying the waterfront as the crab boats went by. At night we roasted marshmallows by the fire while the little ones ran around with glow sticks. Mike, the owner was so helpful and easy to work with. His suggestions of places to go as we planned our celebration were spot on. We had internet issues that he tirelessly tried to remedy but we survived. His goal was to insure our trip would be special and it was. The picture on my desktop showing the view of the waterfront at sunset with my 4 year old grandson looking out makes me smile every time. We rent from VRBO/HomeAway often and would definitely come back again."

  • USNA Commissioning Week 2016

"This home provided a wonderful place for our family during the busy week of Commissioning Week. For us, the location of the home provided a respite from the chaos of downtown Annapolis and the size of the home allowed us to spread out more than most homes in the downtown area. Our Mid especially enjoyed the location away from the responsibilities on the Yard and did not mind the short commute to USNA for activities. The proximity of the Chesapeake Bay gave us peaceful views at all times of the day as well as a beautiful place to take walks as a family. The home itself was decorator furnished with quality furniture, linens, and kitchen items. The lawn out front of the home made a perfect place to entertain guests as the peonies and other flowers were in full bloom. Each bedroom having its own bath provided private areas for each family member. The pull out sofa in the den was a coveted sleeping area as it was as comfortable as a regular bed. The owner was gracious and easy to work with. Whether on vacation in Annapolis or visiting your Mid at USNA, this home provides comfort, beauty, and convenience."
