  • Best Vacation Ever!

""My family and I can't say ENOUGH good things about this house. It truly is a slice of Heaven. Not only did it accommodate all of our needs with its spacious and extremely clean rooms, it exceeded all of our expectations. Michelle's attention to detail is evident throughout the property; beautifully-kept and welcoming interior, comfortable beds and furniture, well-equipped kitchen, seemingly brand new beach cruiser bikes, kayaks, paddle board, game room, pool, and dock on a quiet cove. Perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. We had the best time catching, cooking and eating crabs. The views can't be beat! With a beautiful paddock in the front of the house and the water in the back, you'll be torn over which way to look. Thank you Michelle! We hope to return ASAP!""

  • Beautiful, quiet, spacious house

"We recently enjoyed a girls weekend getaway without husbands and children at this beautiful house. The pictures on the site adequately represent the beautiful rooms, it just doesn't show how expansive the house really is. The place was incredibly clean and spacious and the amenities offered were outstanding for a rental. There were 5 beds (for 4 rooms) and all the beds were bigger than twins (which was an added bonus). The pool is a nice oasis, the screened in porch with large table and large deck added to the experience and is where we spent a majority of our time. We particularly loved that the owners include bicycles, kayaks, and life vests in the rental. We enjoyed SO much time in the kayaks on the water. And, I can't adequately capture how beautiful and peaceful it is out there. Once you venture out a bit you see how vastly huge the area of water is (not just a small area to kayak) and yet how quiet it is. There were a few boaters here and there but for the most part, we had the water all to ourselves. That is a huge bonus for us b/c it was not overcrowded at all like other places we have been. While we did not have children with us, this would be a great place for them! There is so much to do and a lot of space (inside and out). The house is stocked with kid bikes/life vests, kayaks and games/books. It would be very hard for a family to not have everything they need here. This was our first time to St. Michael's in general and the area itself is beautiful and quaint. We were there 2 nights and people at the restaurants recognized us by day two. We are so grateful that this house is super close to downtown St Michaels' so that we can experience downtown yet stay in woods/by the water where it is serene/quiet. Did I mention how peaceful it is? :) We are looking forward to going back next Summer!"

  • Great location, beautiful property, every amenity

"June 2016. We loved this house and the location for my husband's birthday with friends/family. It's very private and the landscaping is remarkable - huge old trees and lots of beautiful flowers. There are two areas for outdoor dining (one covered and one uncovered) and the pool is large and well-maintained. The bedding is quite comfortable and there are plenty of linens and towels. We enjoyed "cooking in" a couple of dinners. The kitchen has everything you need and more... Also, it's important to note for summer visitors - the A/C works great! We were comfortable in every room. The property is very close to town, shopping, and great restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the Bistro and 208 Talbot. For more casual meals, the Tavern at the Inn on Perry Cove and the Crab Claw were fun. We discovered two nice groceries in town (although there may be more). The owners were quite helpful and responsive to our questions. They have provided for anything and everything you will need to enjoy your stay here. We look forward to another visit and highly recommend!"

  • A wonderful combination of old-fashioned charm, modern convenience, and proximity to the Bay.

"Lovely cottage, as described. (Studio rental is separate.) Very comfortable for a couple. Simply but beautifully furnished. Very high quality linens and towels, including beach towels, a really nice touch. Renovated bathroom and kitchen, comfy mattress. Great cable, very reliable internet. An older property but clean and well-maintained, with a huge fenced yard and lots of privacy. Wonderful original artwork on the walls. Gary was a most accommodating and welcoming landlord. He allowed us to bring our two cats, who clearly took no time feeling at home. I would recommend this property to friends or relatives. We walked every morning on the Boardwalk (you get to know all the regulars) and kayaked nearly every day from the West Marina,, one mile away. One of the nicest features of the Seahorse Cottage was access to the tomato and herb garden, of which we made much use. Also loved the weekly Friday evening Farmers Market and the Chesapeake's Bounty produce store, but if you are a cook you may want to bring your own knives and favorite pans. We stayed for three weeks in July/ August."
