  • Perfect House in a Beautiful Spot

"We have rented many vacation houses over the years and this is by far our favorite. The house itself is beautiful. The kitchen is very modern and extremely well-equipped (better than our kitchen at home!) Th living room is spacious and comfortable. The beds were all very comfortable. The location was spectacular. We woke up early in the mornings to watch the osprey and egrets flying around the creek. We went out in the canoes in the morning which was just a delight. The sunsets were a highlight of our stay -- they were incredibly beautiful and sitting on the dock couldn't be more peaceful. We explored the area some, including a trip to Hooper's Island which is about a half hour to 45 minutes away. We went to Old Salty's restaurant on the island and had some of the freshest seafood we've had in a long time. It was a beautiful drive and a great way to spend a day. we also went to the wildlife refuge twice and saw several eagles, an otter and lots of great blue heron. The pool was icing on the cake. I ended up spraining my ankle badly about mid-way through our vacation and was glad I was in such a pretty place. I spent the last part of the week sitting by the pool overlooking the creek and enjoying the peacefulness of it all. We definitely plan to return!"

  • Quintessential Shore Living

"This was my 4th trip back to this property and here are just some of the reasons I keep coming back... - Spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated home - Picture perfect water views - Top-notch kitchen and grill with all the accessories - Private swimming pool, perfect for adults + kids (bonus points for the adirondack chairs in shallow end!) - Large, well-maintained backyard facing the water - think lawn games or reading in the hammock - Private dock w/ picnic table = ideal lunch/dinner spot Best part is that it feels so secluded and private when you're there - but it's actually hop, skip, and a jump away from everything you come to the Eastern Shore for. You can go out and feel like a local in cute towns like St. Michael's with a 20 min drive. I am not sure what the last reviewer was referring to regarding food stores because we found both an Acme and a Super Target (w/ a Starbucks!) just 10 mins from the house. Both were on the way home and made it easy to stock up on supplies for a cozy night in. No matter if you're looking for a quiet getaway for 2 or a fun-filled weekend for 10 old friends, this place is for you. I can't wait to connect with the owners (who literally treat us like family) soon to start planning next year's trip!"

  • Best Vacation Ever!

""My family and I can't say ENOUGH good things about this house. It truly is a slice of Heaven. Not only did it accommodate all of our needs with its spacious and extremely clean rooms, it exceeded all of our expectations. Michelle's attention to detail is evident throughout the property; beautifully-kept and welcoming interior, comfortable beds and furniture, well-equipped kitchen, seemingly brand new beach cruiser bikes, kayaks, paddle board, game room, pool, and dock on a quiet cove. Perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. We had the best time catching, cooking and eating crabs. The views can't be beat! With a beautiful paddock in the front of the house and the water in the back, you'll be torn over which way to look. Thank you Michelle! We hope to return ASAP!""

  • Awesome historical cottage stay!

"We had a great visit to the Thomas Blade cottage. The home is maintained in authentic historical condition. The owner has remodeled the home to include a modern kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms upstairs. The home is comfortable with A/C and a nice, screened porch. The porch is very relaxing and has a fan for warm days - a great place to hang out. We were able to walk everywhere or ride our bikes. The home actually came with two bikes, but we used our own. We had a nice, relaxing and enjoyable visit. One day was the brewfest and while it was nearby, it wasn't noisy or disruptive. Thanks to the owners for maintaining such a nice, comfortable historic home for others to enjoy."
