  • perfect private beach location

"This was our 2nd year staying at Ira's beach cottage. I can't say enough about the property and location. It's a relaxing getaway plain and simple. The screened in porch is by far my favorite spot to sit and just look at the bay the birds the boats and even the occasional fighter jet from the pax river naval base 16 miles north. The house is clean and has everything you need as far as towels linens and dishes and cookware. This is the kind of place you go to unwind...play in calm bay waters and just enjoy nature without the crowds of people. It is very hard to leave here and go back to the reality of work and daily life. Highly recommend!"

  • Great cottage, great location!

"Our family (family of four plus dog) enjoyed our time at the Seahorse cottage. The cottage was clean and well-appointed, with a terrific amount of kitchen supplies including coffee maker, blender, and cooking utensils. Towels, sheets, and blankets were all super soft and quality materials. The cottage had cable, wifi, and a DVD player, which was an awesome way to fill a rainy afternoon. The host has also provided Scrabble, Chess, and a jigsaw puzzle for quiet entertainment as well. We walked to the beach, to restaurants, and to ice cream. At the Cold Penguin, we enjoyed great waffle cones and even got a beef-flavored doggie sundae (which was a big hit, BTW.) Around the corner is Neptune's, where we had good pizza and burgers. We were so close, I was able to run back to the cottage quickly for jackets when the restaurant got too cold. Thanks to the cottage we were able to keep our out-of-pocket costs pretty low. Our host was very accessible and friendly. Gary and his wife live adjacent to the cottage and have lots of great recommendations for enjoying their town."

  • Welcome peace and quiet

"I love Chesabelle and love Scotland. The home is a tasteful, welcoming cottage with pretty views all around and an open airy feeling. It is stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Scotland is an excellent getaway with lots of opportunities for recreation but little in the way of commerce. So it's great to come here with the family and shift gears. Note Chesabelle is not right on the bay - you have to cross Lake Drive and walk along a short path to get there. For extended family get togethers, it would be perfect to rent one of the on- beach properties and Chesabelle so you could have family time on the beach, but still have your own space. Hope to be back soon."
