  • Wonderful Escape

"We just got home from our extended weekend at the Rooster's Nest. We had a wonderful time. The house was clean and very spacious for just two and our dog. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and cooking paraphernalia (the beaters were great for making buttermilk pancakes!) We hit the jackpot on weather for the weekend and so we were able to enjoy sitting out on the spacious front deck to watch the birds and squirrels come in and feed on the sunflower seed provided by the owner. The house was cozy, especially with a wood fire going. The sofas were comfortable and paired with the great wifi, the living room was a comfy place to read and relax. One of the most enjoyable features of the house was the hot tub off the master bedroom. What a great way to end the evening, sitting in the hot tub, gazing at the stars! We had two very clear nights to take in the view through the bare trees. We had a wonderful experience. We are eager to return and will definitely rent again. The only caveat is that this house is not for bug-phobic people. There were stink bugs everywhere. We've dealt with them before in our own home and we know that it's just a battle to get rid of as many as possible, but more will come. For us, the stink bugs were annoying, but they did not take away our enjoyment of the house. We had a fantastic weekend. We hope to see you again in a few months."

  • Absolutely amazing! Everything it is described as and more!

"The place is amazing. It is a beautiful one bedroom cabin with stunning views. My wife and I have nothing but positive things to say about the cabin, the host Keith, the gas burning fireplace, and the stunning views. The cabin itself is in fantastic condition, truly perfect for two people, may be a stretch to get any more than 3-4 as the living area would be small for a family but very doable. We didn't get to spend much time on the deck due to the bad weather, but if there in the spring, summer, or fall, it would be the perfect gathering spot that you would not want to leave. Definitely pack/bring everything you need for your stay as Berkeley Sorings and any true grocery store is about 30 minutes away. We absolutely will be back. Thank you for the great getaway and experience Keith!"

  • Pleasant Stay

"Spent a pleasant and comfortable weekend at Lazy Day despite the 95-100 degree weather. The cottage was clean, nicely furnished and well-equipped. No need for the hot tub but the screened porch provided a temporary escape from the air conditioner. There is plenty to do if you're a hiker, cyclist, or just enjoy hanging out."

  • Little Slice of Heaven

"Not knowing what to expect, we were most pleasantly surprised. If peace and quiet are what you need, Green Valley is the place. Francena cottage was cozy and inviting. I look forward to returning and staying in one of the other cottages, possibly in the winter. I can only imagine the beauty of the snow at Green Valley."
