  • A Perfect Getaway!!!

"A very calming and relaxing cottage. Malcolm and Pam made us feel at home with the exceptional clean cottage in a pastoral setting. It was wonderful watching the sheep and the Llamas going about their business. Very close to the C&O canal where we enjoyed a wonderful day of biking to Harper's Ferry. Even a rainy day proved to be relaxing as we enjoyed the Charles Town sights and sounds. We WILL return, and we would recommend this setting to all who wish to get away and enjoy a setting that is out of this world!"

  • Wonderful New Year's Weekend!

"Just returned from a wonderful weekend away with 9 friends from near and far to ring in the New Year. The house was very well maintained and prepared upon our arrival. The home is quite large with several spacious bedrooms and bathrooms that allowed for privacy throughout the weekend as well as a large dining table and basement recreation room that was perfect for gathering together throughout the weekend. The house is located in a private area, but very close to local amenities (Walmart, grocery store, etc.). We were very pleased with our stay and would recommend this home for group gatherings!"

  • Beautiful and Spacious Home in Harper's Ferry

"I visited Harper's Ferry for the first time this past weekend with 4 other friends from college. The Spy House exceeded our expectations in every way. The house was clean and offered plenty of space for our needs. The front porch is so quaint and comes with an adorable porch swing. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The open living room/dining room/kitchen was the perfect gathering room for us all. The three bedrooms upstairs all offered comfortable beds and plenty of space for all of our stuff. There are three bathrooms in the house (two full and one half) but only one shower. I would say this is the only negative aspect of the home. Although, we found a way to make the shower situation work with 5 women, so it's not even really a negative as there was great water pressure and plenty of hot water to go around! The house is so close to town you can walk just about everywhere you would want to go. I will warn you though, the main street is a steep hill, so wear comfortable shoes everywhere or you'll be sorry. We visited the coffee shop in town and had dinner at Bistro 1840 also right on the main street. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. I hope to visit the town again and would most definitely stay at The Spy House."
