  • We've been going to the Berkshires for probably about Can't finder a better place or better location

"We've been going to the Berkshires for probably about 15 years, and have found Great Barrington to be the best place to be. This condo is on the “Hill” a quick 5 minute walk into town. It was clean and spotless, which was very important to us, and bright and open. The owners provided just about everything from a complete kitchen (generous plates, glasses, cups, silverware, kitchen utensils, you name it) as well as paper goods, cleaning supplies, plenty of linens, towels etc. It was “easy living”. We walked to town for coffee in the mornings and dinner and the movies in the evening. Super convenient. Well worth the money. Hardly ever used our car and didn't need to deal with the downtown parking situation."

  • Beautiful house, great location.

"My family and I stayed at this beautifully renovated, very convenient spot over Christmas week and it was pretty magical. The house: very comfortable, lots of space, chickens and sheep my kids loved to feed and a truly outstanding kitchen. Location: close to GB (restaurants/food shopping/rec center), hiking and skiing; we also went to Mass Moca and Norman Rockwell museums as easy day trips. Owners were available for any and all questions; I could not recommend this place more if you're looking for a family or group getaway to the Berkshires."

  • Heaven on earth

"Clean, cozy ,comfortable place with an awesome kitchen and spacious and relaxing living areas. Sitting on the patio on a cool September day watching the sheep graze as the sun rises and the fog burns off is perhaps the best therapy money can buy. Ellen and Peter are gracious hosts and have done a spectacular job with this cottage. I wish I could live here. We will certainly return. I already miss the sheep!"

  • Summer Magic

"Going on vacation with 3 kids under the age of 6 can be tough- but this house made it possible to relax and have a great time. We'd swim while the babies took naps, play lawn games in the yard and then BBQ and make s'mores at night. They had a ton of movies for kids on hand as well as a good number of books, toys and game equipment in the basement. Here were our favorite activities if you have young ones: 1.) Head around the corner to Cantina 229 and have tacos outside and let the kids see the farm animals. 2.) Great Barrington: Have dinner (and play ping pong) at the Prairie Whale and then go to Soco Creamery for dessert. On Friday afternoons, you can take the kids to the Mount for free jazz (and running around) or just go to the Giggle Park playground in GB and let them dance around to the free jazz in the park there. 3.) Jacob's Pillow- the kids really liked the free inside/out performance 4.) The Hancock Shaker Village had a ton of activities for kids and is just a pretty setting to run around 5.) The Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield had lots of interactive exhibits- including dinosaur costumes. If you need a rental with a little bit of separation (for two families, in-laws or sleeping babies)- this place is perfect!"
