  • We love this house

"This was our second stay at this wonderful house. We love everything about this property - the beautiful wooden floors, the coolest vintage furniture finds throughout the house, well equipped kitchen, the tasteful color scheme, the pillows, the lights, the little details. The fireplace room is the place to be, so comfortable! It's where we were hanging out every night. The creek in the back is so relaxing... And so are the views of the surrounding area. The house was clean & well supplied with all the basics. We spent quite some time cooking in the kitchen. We did our shopping at Guido's Marketplace in Great Barrington. The kids loved to sit on the sofa by the entrance and play games in that table. Outside there is a swing and space for the kids to play & run around, perfect! We definitely will be back. To our hosts, thank you so much!!"

  • serene cabin with lake access

"We are a professional couple and were looking for a place outside of NYC to get away during the weekends (summer 2016.) This was a very good choice for us. The lake and private dock are exactly as shown in the photos. Spectacular, serene and unspoiled. The lake is clear and lovely for swimming - many are not because of too many motor boats and overgrowth of invasive weeds. We enjoyed watching the migratory birds and relaxing on the dock with endless magical sunsets. The house and property are generally very quiet. With excellent high speed internet we were able to get away from NYC but still stay connected to work -- which was necessary for us. We attended concerts at Tanglewood -- it is a very short drive and it's easy to get lawn tickets. We found many good places to purchase food and wine. We hiked the nearby trails which were never crowded and so well maintained. The owner could not have been more responsive. Very easy to deal with anytime we had a question. The house is rustic, with well equipped kitchen and both gas and charcoal grills. We really enjoyed our stay."

  • Stately, gracious home in a great location

"We were four couples on our annual visit to Tanglewood and other attractions in the area. The house is spacious, the rooms large with high ceilings and wide pine floors. It's nicely furnished and the kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of dishes and glasses. There were multiple spaces for us all to be together or to spread out and be apart. There is a nice screened in porch off the kitchen - perfect spot for cocktails after a hard day of hiking, museum going or shopping. I definitely recommend this house to others. If you are a group like us, though, please note that the stairs to the third floor are a bit steep and narrow and there is no bathroom up there. Kevin was very responsive. The location is great. Easy to get to Lenox, Stockbridge, Lee, and Great Barrington."

  • Spacious, clean, and FUN!

"Our group of friends stayed here for our annual Thanksgiving celebration. The large kitchen was perfect for everyone to hang out while cooking a big thanksgiving dinner. There were more than enough beds to accommodate everyone. The house was very clean when we arrived and we had no problems throughout our stay. The barn with the basketball court is awesome and provided hours and hours of entertainment for everyone. This is the first time that we left a house with plans to stay there again next year!"
