  • Great house for kids and pups

"We had a wonderful new year's eve weekend at this lovely home. Janet was incredibly response and proactively reached out to make sure we knew everything we needed to about the house in order to enjoy our time there. When we had a minor problem with the wifi, she spent time working with her provider to get it fixed. The house is very well-appointed and a wonderful secluded oasis - perfect for quality time with family."

  • Mountain-side paradise in the Berkshires #homeawayfromhome

"My family and I were called to travel to Western Mass. on short notice, and we needed accommodations for at least a week. With four young children, including a two-year old, my wife and I wanted something reasonably affordable, roomy, yet friendly and secure. After a quick search on VRBO, we inquired about this three-bedroom condo in Pittsfield, tucked into the Bousquet Ski Resort mountain. I'm glad I contacted Rob Katz. The location was perfect, and his description of the condo was spot on. Rob met us on arrival for a quick walk-through. I was impressed with the cleanliness, openness and overall feel of his beautiful vacation spot. He provided everything we needed to feel at home, on the road. The home was spotless. All the bedding, towels, etc., were cleaned, all the beds were made, the kitchen and coffee were ready to go. I mean, this place is warm, inviting and ready for guests. Believe me-- once you're inside, you're thinking about buying, not renting for a week. It is beautifully appointed and decorated, and with a gas fireplace, a lovely balcony overlooking the scenic Berkshires (complete with gas grill and full tanks or propane!) and a big flat-screen TV and stereo system, we were eager to have guests and to entertain, which we did. All our visitors loved the location, layout and roominess. We sure had fun. For the kids, the pool at the top of the hill was a natural, obvious attraction, but so were the great opportunities to explore the surrounding wilderness. We took several walks, visited the area lakes and generally enjoyed as much of the sunny summer days as we could, with biking, mini golf and fine dining too. We had so much to do, we never even visited the Bousquet summer fun park that is right next door! Water slides, rope swings, go carts, who knows what else-- we'll put that on the list for the next visit. Rob was great with the kids. We were very careful to put away some of his more fragile and possibly rare decor, but he was eager for the children to play the piano (using his catalogue of sheet music), use the computer and play his board games, which they did with gusto. He even laid out some children's books, which he allowed us to keep. That was a real treasure for the younger two, as well as a nice distraction on the flight home. Bonus! If you're looking for a place to enjoy the Berkshires and its temperate summers, colorful autumns and festive winters, look no further. My family and I hope to return soon so book now!"

"Whether we travel to the Berkshires with a full compliment of children and grandchildren or just the two of us, our many times at this Log Home in West Stockbridge have left us renewed and refreshed, feeding our hearts and souls with joy and peace. Impeccably clean and perfectly appointed, one wants for nothing as all your needs are met beyond expectations. Just heading up the driveway is a signal to get ready to simply relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you in this part of the country. And then we see the house and know that, once again, we have made the absolute right choice...we feel immediately at home when we open the door!!! Watching the snow fall in the winter while enjoying morning coffee from the comfort of the great room, or sipping a glass of wine on the porch at dusk in early spring, as you take in the deep quiet, one is filled with an abundance of gratitude just to be here. If you can bring yourself to leave this wonderful house so much awaits you...Ziplining at Berkshire East, The Clark Museum, The Norman Rockwell Museum, Monument Mountain,Great Barrington, Stockbridge, The Red Lion Inn, The Mount, Arrowhead, Chesterwood, Worthington Hot Air Balloon Rides just to name a few. Wonderful places to enjoy a great dining experiences abound such as Alta in Lennox and Bizen in Great Barrington. Be sure to treat yourself to a Cafe Au Lait and delectable pastries at the Patisserie Lennox right in Great Barrington...and be sure to take a leisurely drive around the area and discover for yourself the many nooks and crannies that offer the most tranquil, yet majestic views. As Dorothy said...."There is no place like home', and this Log Home is, without doubt, your home away from home! Treat yourself to something special with time will be oh so glad you did!
