  • Beautiful property! Quiet, lovely energy. Great location.

"We stayed at the cottage for a long weekend and had an amazing time. The cottage itself was perfect, an inviting space tucked away on a beautifully landscaped and well maintained property. Whether resting in bed or sitting have a cup of tea at the table, you have a charming view of the garden, grounds and pond. There is a private gazebo overlooking the pond, secluded and surrounded by nature. I had a truly wonderful yoga practice in this space, the grounds have such amazing energy. Beth was a lovely host, there were fresh flowers from the garden to enjoy and a great binder of information about the cottage, surrounding towns, restaurants, things to do, all of which made our stay that much more enjoyable. The cottage is in a great location, easy to get to Great Barrington, Lenox and Chatham. Great shops and restaurants in each. Beth's reviews were spot on too and we had some delicious meals based on her suggestions. It was the perfect weekend getaway. Highly recommend this charming little cottage. We will definitely be returning to stay!"

  • Great Vacation Home For Us Every Year

"We have enjoyed vacationing in this lovely home every year for the past 6 years. We had an especially wonderful time this year. The weather was perfect on a daily basis and we got to do a lot of great things - visiting the Rockwell Museum and Shaker Village as well as picnicking on Mt. Greylock. Onota Lake was beautiful as ever and we had great fun swimming and picnicking there as well. It was a great surprise and highlight of our trip to see a mother bear and her 3 cubs. We are already looking forward to our return next year!"

  • College Roommates

"My college roommates & I get together 1x/year & this year we wanted to stay near the Clark Art Institute. This house was perfect for our get together! Carol was easy to work with & very responsive to emails. Mid October is a wonderful time to visit the Berkshires - the colors were amazing! A bit too cold to enjoy the water but the scenery from the dock was lovely. The house was cozy, warm, spacious, very comfortable & very clean. The living room with the glass walls was lovely & we enjoyed feeling like we were surrounded by nature. Although, the house isn't lake front - you could see a bit a of the lake from the living room. We enjoyed using the well equipped kitchen & sleeping on such comfortable beds. Many wonderful towns/activities were close by. Not having WiFi made it a little more challenging to make plans but we managed to figure out where we wanted to go without it:)! Would definitely stay here again!"

  • Perfect for a Big Family with Little Kids

"What a beautiful and perfect spot for a week's vacation with the family. We had 10 adults and 5 kids (4 under 5 years old), and the house held us wonderfully. The bedroom setup worked out great with enough beds (+1 pull-out couch) for the grownups (5 couples) and a couple with enough room for pack n plays, a bunk room that 2 4-year-olds shared and could've been used for 4 kids had they been older, and even a cool nook of a room with two built-in twins that was perfect for a 13-year-old girl to escape the rest of our craziness. The common spaces had plenty of seating for both hanging out and eating together, and the kitchen was well stocked with all the cookware and dishes we needed. There are 3 separate TVs, so plenty of ways to split up different tastes, although we never had to use them. And I have to mention the very new looking and huge washer and dryer as they were very useful to have. The property itself is amazing. The huge, flat yard between the house and the lake was just perfect for lots of running around and playing games. The small beach was great for the kids and has a nice gentle slope into the water. The kids loved jumping off the small dock, and we made frequent use of the kayaks and canoe for paddling around and even a little fishing. This particular area of the lake was particularly quiet and calm. There's a peninsula on one side offering lots of protection and the entire opposite coastline belongs to a park and a health center, so it's all trees with no development. If you're looking for an easy lake vacation with family and friends, you'd be hard pressed to find something better."
