  • Perfect holiday weekend in the Berkshires!

"We spent the Christmas weekend in this cozy yet spacious home in West Stockbridge. Lois was a terrific host and very attentive on our arrival, even before the holiday. The town of West Stockbridge is small but No. Six Depot just steps away from the house has a fantastic breakfast and great coffee selection. Within 15-20 minutes driving distance to Great Barrigton and Stockbridge but it was also the perfect place to stay inside during a cold winter weekend. Would absolutely recommend and hope to return. Thanks Lois!"

  • Great Location

"The location is great- just a short walk to the Stockbridge Bowl/ Town Beach. It is a great location for Tanglewood as Lion's Gate parking is right up the road. Lenox restaurants are 5 minutes away. The house is as advertised, and the owner was very accessible to us. Would highly recommend."

  • Home Away From Home

"My fiancé, 18 month old son and I had the pleasure of spending a month in this home between September and October, truly making this our home away from home. The location of the house was perfect for our needs. Close enough to the towns with plenty of activity, such as Great Barrington and Lenox but far enough away that we felt as though we had our space. West Stockbridge is a quiet town, which is one of the reasons we chose this location. We frequented No 6 Depot (great coffee and lunch items) but mainly went into GB for dinners, hikes, etc. It ends up being about a 20 minute drive so we were able to go back and forth easily. Stockbridge is even closer for museums like Norman Rockwell and Chesterwood. The home itself was up to date where it counted but has a rustic feel to it which was appropriate considering the age of the home. If you are looking for a completely modern experience, this isn't the place for you. The house has a ton of character from the beautiful beams to the old doors and handles. Coming from South Florida where everything is "new" it was a welcomed change. My fiancé is a former chef and the kitchen was right on point from the stove to the supplies provided. I think he cooked more in that month than the rest of the year combined! Our son loved the amount of property outside - he was given the chance to run around, play in the leaves, sandbox and a few times he took on the slide. I was able to work from the house and never had issues with the wifi or phone service. The views from the home are so serene; we even had a day where we had a picture perfect view of a rainbow over the mountain just before sunset. We are kind of wimps with cold weather but we did have one or two nights where we braved it for some fantastic star gazing on the hammock! The only "issues" we had was that some of the furniture needed a bit of sprucing up, which sounds like is being done this year. Any other issue that arose was responsed to right away by Claudia's team but we didn't encounter anything major over the course of the month that wasn't livable. My family is so excited to return next fall!"
